A great book for the whole family
I've seen his internet cooking show and loved it. When I found out he had a book I went on Amazon and purchased it.How Father Leo brings important feasts and events together with simple, tasty food is wonderful!I love the discussion questions and scripture verses that accompany every recipe to read and talk over with the family. It is a great way for the whole family to come together over dinner and spend some quality time together! The recipes for Orzo and veggie soup are my favorites.I highly recommend this book!

Simple and Satisfying
I am a cookbook reader. I didn't expect that this cookbook would be so much reading! The atmosphere is set for each meal with an explanation of why we combine enjoyable food with celebration. Then two complementary recipes are given. Just reading the ingredients in the recipes and their preparation let me know that these were no ordinary meals. Each recipe has a special twist, an unexpected ingredient which makes the dish so very satisfying. I have just finished a meal of Imperial Salmon and can say it was very good.

Recipes from the Cooking Priest
My husband saw this cookbook on TV and later researched on the Internet. I found it on Amazon and ordered it. I have cooked a few of the recipes and the stories/prayers are wonderful. It makes you appreciate the family togetherness - sharing meals and cooking. Father Leo is from my homeland and I learned how to cook one of my Mom's favorite dish. She was surprised that I could cook it. It tasted just like her cooking.

Great gift for Catholic families
I gave this as a Fathers' Day gift. I like the way it ties in recipes with prayers and the liturgical calendar. Only wish it included photographs of the meals.

Fun comes back to the kitchen
Getting dinner together with everyone's schedule has become more and more difficult. Father Leo's cookbook has truly been a blessing. Now with a little planning to make sure we have the ingredients in the house Dinner is fun again. The kids are learning to cook. They are also talking and making us part of their busy young lives. They get a great sense of accomplishment when they get to eat a good meal made by their own hands. The recipes are straight forward. they do not require weird and hard to find things. Nor do they require a degree from the cordon blue. Their might be other books with similar approaches. We love actively bringing God into the kitchen.

Interesting reading
This was very interesting reading. Tried some of the recipes and activities suggested in the book with success. The spiral binding was stiff and squeaky but still worth buying.Liked the conversational starters for the family.

Perfect
This book has excellent recipes in it, and is perfect for a family trying to start over. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something different for supper.

All in all a good purchase.
Plain simple cookery with lovely text and appropriate readings. Some very interesting ideas for debate. It's just a pity I can't get my gang as enthused by them. All in all a good purchase.
