Avantree Ensemble – Wireless TV Headphones for Seniors with Clear Voice, Charging Dock, 35h Playtime, Comfortable Fit, Works with Optical, AUX & Bluetooth TVs

I bought these for my Dad who lives in a retirement flat and was worried he had his tv up too loud for the neighbours. Really straight forward to fit. The volume control on the headset is a little small/fiddly for his arthritic fingers so easier for him when he takes them off to do it but fine for most people. He also says they squeeze his ears even with the headset expanded for a larger head but I found them super comfy - I think he finds anything different takes a little time to adjust to so they'll be fine with practice. Can be set up to have others hear the tv and control the volume separately or to have the sound just in the headset. They also link to other devices so ideal for tablets, music etc. I would definitely recommend them for use and ease of set up as well as sound quality.

I was dreading replacing my old Sony RF headphones, but these are far superior. Unlike my old Sony, this set has an internal battery. It says it lasts something like 35 hours. I have not reached the limit yet as I put them on the recharging dock after each use. Have no idea whether this is good for the battery or not. The sound is of high quality containing good bass and clear clarity. The connectivity is superb, allowing for headphone jack or S/PDIF (or both). Personally I prefer the latter which I feel gives higher quality sound. The headphones have a rocker-type digital volume changer built into the right side which is convenient. In short, very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend - only slight concern is I do not like built-in batteries in general; my old Sony pair were powered by rechargeable AA batteries which I could replace when their capacity diminished. Really hoping I do not experience battery problems in the future. If so I will re-visit this review. PS - If you have a problem when using with a Fire stick like I did, I resolved it by going into TV advanced audio settings and switching digital out to PCM instead of Auto. Have no idea how or why this works, but it did for me. Thank you Reddit! PPS - My original pair broke after 11 months - the right ear arm snapped. I had been expecting something like this based on previous reviews and the 'frequently returned item' warning. Even so I was given a full refund (even though I didn't take out insurance on them) and promptly ordered another set as I love the sound quality. That's how to make loyal customers :)

All though it was very easy to set up I found in use the sound had too much bass and it drowned ou t any speech I don't know if this can be adjusted

We have tried a number of other headphones to work with our TV but none have been as clear, easy to use, and effective as these. They charge quickly and this will last a couple of days for us (which is very good!). Connecting them is easy and straightforward. A brilliant piece of kit!

Game Changer 🙌❤️🙌 I bought these for my husband (but to be honest I am benefiting more😂🙌🥳). They are more than brilliant 🙌🥳. He says he can hear not only what people are saying, but all the background noises like a telephone being put down, (the click). Background noise really affects partially deaf people. We were forever turning the volume up and down, rewinding for bits he missed. Most things were watched at volume 25-30 depending on tv stations. NOW🙌 I had it for me at 10-11 bliss for my undef ears! He has set the headphones to one volume only now, and the sound volume works correctly for all tv stations. I have never seen him in years enjoy the tv as much, taking everything in. My big win yesterday was not having to hear “Match of the Day”, with all the excited loud men shouting all the time! 😂🙌😂. If I speak loud, he can hear me over the headphones, which is good incase of emergency. He couldn’t hear his phone😢. I suggested placing his mobile between the tv and where he’s sitting (on a coffee table) so as he can see it light up👍. My only regret is not buying them sooner. Worth every penny. ☝️🥳🙌

Brilliant sound quality for watching tv unfortunately I could still hear my neighbors dog barking in the back ground but still much better with them!

Bought these headphones in September 2024. As soon as I opened the box, I realised that they were very flimsy and very delicate. Consequently, I've treated them very carefully. Unfortunately, they have dropped to pieces after just five months and five days. The headphones are comfortable, always connect straight away and the charging dock makes them easy to charge and to store when not in use. The problem is with the delicate pieces of the rotating ear cup that join with the head band. The construction is just too weak and weedy. So, if your'e looking for headphones, look elsewhere. Update April 2025. After posting my initial review, I was contacted by Avantree Support. They very kindly offered me a replacement headset free of charge. Kate from Avantree made the whole replacement process very easy and the new headphones were with me in under 24 hours. The new headphones appear to be of better construction and more robust than the originals. A big thank you to Kate and Avantree support. Customer support as good as this is fantastic.

Great joy working perfectly took me over an hour to set up not bad for 89 years old.

Easy setup. The earphones are comfortable and the sound is crystal clear. Great product and would highly recommend.

The audio is clear and good but in some low quality videos I can hear some weird noises, it’s loud but maybe in newer versions I’d expect even louder sound

Weil dieser Avantree Kopfhörer, mit der Nr: BTHT 5150 BLK, viele (mir wichtigen) Eigenschaften besitzt, habe ich ihn bestellt. Die Verpackung war sehr stabil und enthielt alle Kabel und Stecker. Der Transmitter verfügt sogar über einen Audio Optical Anschluss. Der Kopfhörer sieht schick aus und hat einen gepolsterten und verstellbaren Bügel. Die Ohrmuscheln sind superweich. Die Bedienung für die Lautstärke erfolgt mit mit 2 leicht tastbaren Schaltern. Aus- und Einschalten ist ebenfalls am Hörer möglich. Das erhöht die Einsatzdauer auf viele Stunden; ohne Laden zu müssen. Die schlanke Ausführung des Kopfhörers begeistert mich sehr [ kein Klotz, wie mein Sony Kopfhörer vorher]. Der Anschluss per optischem Kabel war leicht. Aber nur, wenn man die spärliche deutsche Bedienungsanleitung ganz genau beachtet. !! Das ist mein einziger Kritikpunkt. Denn die englische Fassung ist wesentlich umfangreicher und bebildert. Der Klang ist für einen TV-Kopfhörer echt überragend. Für meine Ohren mit einem klaren Sound mit einem angenehmen Bass.
