Childhood snack!
This was my childhood snack and Iโve been craving them ever since! Thankfully Amazon is selling them. Super fresh and the texture is amazing. Chewy and delicious. It has no taste so I recommend adding a little bit of honey. Honey goes a long way. Though, Iโve been eating this bland and the chewiness is very addictive. You have to fry them and let it puff up. You canโt eat it raw out of the packaging! Expensive but so worth it!

I was Skeptical, but It's pretty great "Instant Mochi"
I was really skeptical about this but I figured I'd give it a shot since I can't just buy it when I want it around here. Color me pleasantly surprised. I had to work through some image translating to work out how to cook them up - my japanese reading skills are pretty much zero. And trial and error resulted in an interesting rice cracker like result in the microwave - my fault completely. ( Of course, honestly... I tried it and with some kikkoman, it actually tasted pretty good. ) I've had fresh made and I've had frozen... and I love mochi. So after I worked out the kinks in prep, I have to say that these are pretty decent, even nuked up in a couple minutes with soy sauce... The taste and texture is pretty good - really not that far off from the frozen ones I've had. It isn't quite as good as fresh, but nothing compares to fresh. But it is definitely good and a worthwhile replacement for all the times when fresh is either not available, or you don't have the time to make it. Will definitely buy again

Great Product Horribe Price!
Purchased this because I really wanted to try it, especially after watching 'mukbungs' on youtube. They have no real flavor...like rice, bland, but the premise of the mochi is to add flavor to it. Absolutely loved it in sweet or savory forms. Add soy sauce and wrapped in seaweed, dump it in your noodle broth, deep fry it, air fry it, pan fry it, boil it...so many ways to cook it. The only downside is the price on Amazon! $19-$22...depending on when you purchase it. I went to the Japanese market and was able to find it for a lot less. They have more brands available so it's more competitive. You could probably purchase the exact same size at this one from between $10-$15.00 If you're lucky, you might have one around, but if not, you're probably stuck purchasing on Amazon. But hey, still a great product if you're really hankering for Kiramochi.

FRESH-tasting mochi!
I found this brand of mochi rice cakes to always be fresh & tasting the way it should after cooking them. The other brand I had previously bought began looking "old" when cooking (a difference in the way they cooked), & the flavor was on the stale side, as though in their warehouse or wherever a long time.

Excellent kirimochi (remember to cook it). Would buy again
They last for a long time before being cooked. They cook perfectly (you can air fry them, boil them, etc). Absolutely no complaints. I would buy again.

Great value
I love these plain mochis and the amount you get for the price is a good deal. I really enjoy putting them in the air fryer with some sesame oil and ponsu sauce (and sometimes chili oil) for about 6 min. Afterwards, it creates this beautiful crispy outside and the inside is still the consistent mochi texture you would normally anticipate. The mochi really takes on the flavors so I think that makes this product versatile. Iโll even add some furikake on top before serving. I really enjoy that every piece is individually wrapped making it easy to separate and cook. This item will definitely be a repeat item I will be ordering.
