I love my Sony ZV-1 for vlogging, but it needs to be connected to a dummy battery for streaming more than an hour or so... This cage allows the battery compartment to stay open while you are on a tripod, so you can easily use a dummy battery.Well built, sturdy and easy to use. Highly recommended.

Fits perfect and feels sturdy but it’s definitely not light weight. This is not titanium and I didn’t expect it to be but you will feel the weight difference when you add the rig. At the same time the sturdiness makes your camera feel more protected.

It's a seemingly pretty simple design, but super versatile. I keep finding new ways to use it. My only real complaint would be that it's a little fiddly to get the battery door open, to change the battery or SD Card. If they made the opening slightly larger, and possibly a bit shallower in that area, it would be easier to work with. But it might also save a door getting broken off as it is... so maybe it's a tradeoff.I won't use my camera without it, so it's worth the slight inconvenience, to me. But might not be for everyone, for that reason.

Definitely gives a better grip to what is a light and small camera. Doesn’t add much weight. Kind of suspicious of how well this cage holds as it’s just one screw holding everything via tension so there’s definitely some obvious loose areas if you pull enough. Easy to install. Purchased for all the mounting holes it comes with and easy access to the battery compartment.

Use my camera for business, im always outdoors. This cage provides me the protection I need for my investment.

It’s nice and the metal feel makes my camera look and feel more premium, also I can now hook up a light and mic and battery pack at the same time while on a tripod and can still get to the battery door, I recommend this but make sure you don’t over tighten the screw to snug to camera and make sure it’s flush and pushed to camera before tightening

Smallrig is great - I use their cages and associated gear for my Sony a7siii, my a7iii and my zv-1. This thing is a perfect addition to the zv-1 - compact, not too heavy, loads of options for attachments and very protective.
