If i'm a size 12.5 should i get large? or xl

My two girls play competitive soccer and they play hard 4x week. They love these ankle braces. They wear a size 6 in men's shoes and fit a x-small ankle brace. Doesn't help you much with that info. A size 12.5??? Depending on how wide your feet are, I bet you would fit into a XL. You have to take into account of having to slip your foot into the brace and having enough room to secure the laces. You may want to play it safe and order a XL and a L and send back the one that does not fit. Bet you fit the XL though.

How does this compare to the Trilok ankle brace? Which one is better?

No for sure about Trilok. I can tell you we have four of these braces for three competitive soccer players in the house ages 18, 16, 13. Sometimes one will wear a brace on each ankle, if needed. These are sturdy and wear very well. They have allowed my girls to play with ankle sprains when normally I would bench them.

My shoe size is 7 what size. Some one said they run big

My daughter wears a size 6 1/2 to a 7 shoe/cleat. She is wearing a size small in the brace. The extra small I bought her 3 years ago is too tight to be comfortable. She wears it for softball after breaking her ankle at practice. It is excellent for support.

medspec.com has the size chart and how to measure your ankle, they also have a shoe size chart. I have a narrow ankle and wear a size 10 women's shoe and the small fits me perfectly, if that helps....
