These great value thermometers seem to be reliable - the pair I received read out identical temperatures. I cannot be sure how accurate they are but they tally well with my glass Dennerle thermometer (see photo). They’re really easy to read and they work well - it’s a simple button press to switch between Fahrenheit and Centigrade readouts. They also track min and max temperatures which is useful in case you want to know how much tank temperatures fluctuate.

Use to check the temperature of pond. Both work well and seem accurate. Easy to use and clean.

Works but need to check actual temperature with a real thermometer. I tested both units supplied one indicated temperature below the actual. The other indicated a temperature above the actual

I bought this for my Axolotl tank as my tube type thermometer was difficult to read. Unfortunately, this isn't as accurate as expected and is a good couple of degrees out. I thought it wasn't quite right from the start, but as I didn't have a reason initially to doubt it, I left it awhile. When doing my weekly water change, I decided to use the thermometer from my fish tank. There was a 2 degrees difference. I then tried a catering temperature probe and again it gave a just over 2 degree difference. Now, this isn't a professional or completely accurate test so take it with a pinch of salt. However, unfortunately this has now been returned.
