Cattlemen's Carolina Tangy Gold BBQ Sauce, 18 oz

We've been wanting to try this for a while. Found it on Amazon. Cost on par with local stores, so tried the Amazon grocery - this works! Value was there; but most of all, we found a new BBQ sauce we enjoy! This isn't something I'd normally think of trying while shopping, having the convienence of buying it online at a fair price; was too easy.This sauce is actually REALLY good. We're fairly new to Carolina style, having had it in a couple of restaurants; but, being able to play around with this is going to be great! Everyone in the family prefers the 'mustardy" sauces over the ketchupy/tomato BBQs. This is a great blend with just the right sauce for us to use for everything from the mundane burgers & brats to pulled pork & ribs. My son just made potato salad with it. Tonight? We're gonna use it for egg salad sandwiches. Excited to see what else we can add this to. It really is a good find. One I probably would have never tried if not for a blip on Amazon & a great value for the 2 bottles.

I thought I would try it. I like spicy and sweet wings but hate to burn my mouth. I had this sauch tonight on my chicken wings. It tasted good on my perogies too.

The perfect blend of spices

I have been making my mustard based barbecue sauce for years. And I love Cattleman's red so thought I'd give this a go. It is very good. I add a touch of cayenne to it as we like it a little on the spicy side.

This product is really good and I’ve enjoyed using it for my pulled pork and ribs. It works for the variety of meats I’ve been smoking on my smoker lately. The product is great for your money and tastes great. Its not my favorite but I do like the change up every one and awhile.

Tastes pretty good

I grew up on SC mustard-based BBQ (mostly from Maurice's Piggie Park). You can get that Southern Gold sauce shipped out west, but it costs more per ounce than than actual gold. I've tried just about every version of "mustard" sauce available here, but it's almost all honey mustard, which isn't the same thing at all. I didn't have high hopes for this Cattleman's Carolina sauce, especially given the cheap price, but it's AMAZING. Incredible on pulled pork, chicken, ribs, probably even salad, although I haven't tried that yet. The only upgrade I made to it was to add a little Trappey's Hot Pepper sauce. (actually, just the vinegar from their hot peppers in vinegar, but I add more vinegar to the bottle and keep the sauce flowing) Utter perfection!

We use to be able to buy this in the stores and now we can't find it, so I was happy when I found it on Amazon. It does has a little tang to it but it is good. A different flavor than your normal red sauce BBQ sauces but this is one reason we like it so much. We enjoy it on chicken.
