KidKraft Bayberry Playhouse, Gift for Ages 2-10

Beautiful Playhouse and best price around. Prompt delivery but packaged in light weight cardboard box and I had to spend a considerable amount of time repairing broken boards. Directions were not bad, but instead of being clearly marked all the pieces had a small sticker with the letter "K" which was not helpful at all. Took the full ten hours to construct, mostly due to the detail work. I am very happy with the purchase.

Flimsy, will last about a year

This was an especially nice play house. Well constructed. We chose not to attach the picket fence as we thought the kids might get hurt playing and climbing on it but otherwise it is a great product.

Since we don't have a tree to build a treehouse we decided to buy this little wooden house, is adorable the grandchildren love it!!! I'm the grandma and I too can go inside with them and have snack. we put a little table and chair indide.

I guess once it's assembled the kids can enjoy it. Until then ... it's pure hell. So many pieces. Proprietary socket fitting. Screws aren't always uniform. "Pre-drilled holes" means ... "You'll need to re-drill them so they're correct". The cupola (goofy top piece) fits together like a cheap suit. Measuring is a huge part of assembly. Basically, save yourself ALOT of time (approx 8 hrs) and go buy some plywood and make one yourself. It would be easier. Each roof slat is held on by 3 (proprietary square-head) screws. 18 slats total ... do the math. I was using an air compressor drill and it was still tedious. At points, the directions are vague. I sorted & labeled each piece --- and thankfully I did --- some are VERY similar. There are at least 100 pieces to this monstrosity. BTW, it's heavy - so you'll need at least 2 or 3 people to move it once it's assembled. I haven't hand built trusses since I worked for a custom home builder 25 years ago ... yep, this job will include building 2 end trusses and once center truss. No floor... I would think if it's going to be SO DETAILED it was a window flower box they should include a floor ... and a flat screen... and carpeting ... and at least a kitchen sink. I wouldn't buy it again. Money (AND TIME) better spent would be to buy a plastic one that's pre-assembled. The kids won't know the difference, your back won't hurt, and you won't waste 8-10 hours of your life assembling something that your kid will outgrow in less than 5 years. Spend that time with your kid and it'll probably be time used wisely. It's WELL worth it to get something else.

for the price I was expecting more, like a floor and a full 4 walls. I would not recommend this item.

Bought this playhouse for my two sons ages two and four, thought it was such a great deal because the measurements said something like 90 inches long, almost twice as long as most playhouses under a thousand dollars.....but when we put it together we realized they were including the white fence that lined either side of the house, what a scam! The house itself is just like all the others but pricier, 45 by 47 inches long and wide.....it is cute and durable and not too heavy to move which has been nice for us but I definitely wish someone else had reviewed this and stated the true measurements because I would never have bought it!

The design and real working shutters and windows made it easy and perfect to screen in. We purchased it and converted it into a goose house.
