I have two kids, ( 8 and 9) with sensory issues. Getting to sleep, can be....trying (haha) on some nights. We are trying to move away from having the TV on at all during bedtime. I had looked at star lamps, and every nightlight you can think of. THEN- oh ho! Then, I stumbled across this little ball of AWESOME! It covers the whole ceiling, and some of the walls with an absolutely beautiful soft light of greens and blues (with a hint of red). There are different settings, which is awesome too!! It came with a USB cord, and a standard outlet plug. The plug has a USB port (kinda like an iphone wall charger), where you can remove the USB cord from the plug, and just use the USB cord. I can take this puppy camping with us this summer, and I am so excited I am not confined to just a wall outlet. With the top dome on, the lights are super soft and the red isn't as bold. The red does become more defined when you remove the top dome piece. My kids love it that way. I wish the one streak of red was optional- but that's only if I HAD to get picky, and REALLY try and find something to complain about. I suppose my only only complaint- is I didn't buy myself one! I'll be fixing that soon!! The company has sent me at least two e-mails, making sure I was satisfied with the shipping, and the receiving of this light. They were also super interested to make sure I was fully satisfied with the product. ....They actually care- that's rare these days! If you're looking for a bright, soft light, with speakers ( did I mention it has GREAT SPEAKERS!) Please consider the LUMOSI LED! I received NO discounts, or special offers - I am giving this review (which I never remember to actually give a review) I am giving this as an honest, straight up opinion. I.LOVE.THIS.THING.

I purchased this 2 months ago. We use this as a nightlight and bedtime music player in my 8 year old's room. It really does turn off after an hour which is perfect. I was hesitant to purchase at first because I thought it would be too bright and some color ways are brighter then others. She tend to stick to the blue/pink setting but even the white is ok since it does turn off. I love that both the music and light turn off without any beeps or extra noises. I give it 4 stars because the motor that rotates the light just started clicking a little. I need to see if I can fix that myself.

This lamp/speaker is the most amazing thing ever!!!! I had no idea what to expect because it was not expensive. I am currently in Germany so was worried about how I could plug it in over here. I discovered you can use a voltage adapter for the computer cord tht comes with it. The different light options are amazing! And the speaker is fabulous! Great for a small to medium sized room and portable to bring with you for a dinner for two in a private dinning area. I LOVE IT!!!!!!

Some confusion on this item, I ordered one but received and was billed for 2. After opening the package I emailed for a return of the second item. I then opened the second one realized it did not do as I wanted it to do. Loved the colors but I needed something that had music/sounds to help me sleep. I would love a refund for both items. As per your phone message I will find a home with a young child for one and keep the other for the lights which my birds loved. Hope to hear from you soon and thank you. I bought this for my son's room so he can listen to audio books. 3 months later it has a short in the volume button so it is permanently stuck on the lowest volume (barely audible), its power cord is short too so it has trouble turning on, and there is a conspicuous perpetual buzzing of the gears when in motion. A disappointingly low quality product that l could not recommend.

This is a really cool light, but unless you (or your kiddo) like to feel like you're sleeping at a rave, I don't recommend it for bedtime. This is a BRIGHT light! Like, "Party all night!" bright. Not ideal for settling down your toddler for bed, but if you feel like hosting an impromptu dance party in your room, this is the light for you.

The lights are nice, the sound is better than most nighttime sound systems, and it's great that it can play an iPod or Pandora or whatever you like through the speaker jack, BUT...it's just too bright. I mean, really really bright. This isn't a night light. It's a light. Even with the blurring cap on, it is way too bright. We have to stand a book up in front of the thing to shield our eyes from the intensity of the light. It makes it essentially unusable.

This is a great nightlight for my 2 and half year old. It is smaller than I expected, but I did not read the description close enough. I thought it would be bigger and it have a built in noise machine, but you have to plug your phone into it. It is a great compact night light that will be easy to take on trips, too.
