Rockabilly Guitar Bible: 31 Great Rockabilly Songs (Guitar Recorded Versions)

Overall, very useful. I haven't gone through the entire book yet, so I'll focus on the 'Rock Around The Clock' transcription. I question the accuracy of the first two measures in the guitar solo. In listening to the original recording, those first two transcribed measures don't seem accurate. I've also watched on line tutorials of this and they differ from those two measures in the book. But, the rest seems pretty accurate. I recommend this book, and as always, best to listen to the recording(s). But you already know that.

Another fun book to add to your rockabilly library.

Wonderful guitar book. My husband loves it.

As the title states, overall it's a must-have for anyone pursuing the genre, all classic songs and the transcriptions are close enough; I do have two complaints, though.First, this and every other music book should be spiral bound... just basic logic of functionality here. I know it costs more but I would have paid more.Second, and this is a biggie... this book is extremely white, by which I mean all the songs are by white people. I don't mean this as a... 2021 criticism where I want people of color included for the sake of people of color being included, but for this genre, not acknowledging any of the black musicians is to not acknowledge the founders of the genre. One could argue that the likes of Elvis are more recognizable than, say, Ray Sharpe... but this book doesn't even have a song by Chuck Berry, and Johnny B Goode is probably the most famous rockabilly song of all time. I'm sure the authors weren't intentional in this, and I'd even bet that there was some legal issue getting Chuck included since he has his own book, but... still.

Great for me … mostly a review of bygone Rockabilly Songs … Got to keep playing 'em or else i'll forget ...

Hal Leonard never disappoints , these books are accurate and buying it used gets it at great price. I have many of them

although some of the songs are rock & roll, so not strictly 100% rockabilly(believe me, there is a difference), this book contains a good selection of material, well presented in notation and guitar tab format - put your guitar on, and it will have you playing some toe tapping riffs in no time...
