Incredible for pottery. Makes wheel throwing so much more enjoyable. I like that I can collect any lingering water and smooth out any marks in tall pieces on the wheel. I've also found it useful in hand building projects.

Great for potters. Love these. They are now a required tool for all my beginner students.

Works for reaching into hand built clay vases and mugs. My pieces don’t lose their shape. Works well to,reach into narrow and deep spaces and avoid messing the shape up using a regular sponge with my hands. All Xiem products are the best and worth the few extra dollars. Would’ve liked it to come with an extra sponge, butmitsmeasynenough to order a replacement.

This is a great tool when working with pots that are too tall or too narrow for one’s hand. I just wish the sponge was more absorbent.

This thing is my second one of these. The handle is great, however the old one had a very hard and almost completely unusable sponge on it. This one does not have that problem and it is made to the usual very high standards of Xiem. This does cost a lot more than a dowel rod with a sponge zip tied on the end, but it also much cooler looking to pull out of your tool box.

This is a perfect tool for me because my hands are often larger than the opening of my current projects. I have several Xiem products and have been extremely happy with the quality of their tools. The telescoping handle moves smoothly and is well worth the money.

The extensions work fine and stay in place. The weakness is the quality of the sponges could be of better quality

This is a handy tool to remove water from the bottom of narrow pots. Needs to be damp before using, it will then absorb water very well.
