Solved problem of slippery stair treads on composite patio deck, especially after rain or snow. The "glow-in-dark" not a bright as I had hoped but good enough. Would buy again.

Works great. Dogs no longer slip on the stairs. Easy installation only took about 15 minutes. Glow in the dark stripe is nice

These worked perfectly for garage steps into the house. I applied them on cleaned, smooth painted wood steps and the adhesive worked great, it had good stickiness to it. They are substantial enough that there were no air bubbles to worry about. One thing though, they don’t have ideal packaging, they come tightly rolled in a small square box so I had to lay them out on a counter and put weights on them for a couple days to flatten them out. But otherwise these seem like great quality to me and provide good traction for us and our dog up and down the steps.

Tips for installation: -Measure stair tread front to back and side to side. Calculate how far from the wall the tread should be. Manufacturer states the edge of the film should be 1/2" from the nose (front) of the stair tread. -Make a jig, a guide, out of cardboard so that each tread is placed exactly in the same place on each tread. See photo. Thinner cardboard worked better than thicker. Paper would be too flimsy to help with guiding. -I used two jigs, one for the corner to start the film and one to guide placement along the length. Without a guide it is difficult to keep the proper alignment as the film is applied. -Dust and grease are Kryptonite to adhesives so clean the steps well. I wiped the dust off, cleaned with a solution of Dawn dish detergent, dried with a paper towel and waited 5 minutes for further air dry. -Begin at the corner jig and align the edges as close as possible. Errors multiply as you go down the length. -Use the edge of the jigs to maintain alignment. It works best if you keep the backer lined up with the plastic film as you slowly pull the backer off. Work in 3-4" sections, checking alignment as you go. -After application. use a roller to insure good adhesion. Start in the center and roll to one edge, then roll to the other edge. Like in a chevron pattern. This prevents wrinkles. -I ordered the LIfeGrip 4" roller rather than use the 2" roller that the treads come with. The 2" roller is flimsy. The 4" roller worked well but it did break about half way through - see photo. It continued to work okay. My thoughts: the plastic film is easy on bare feet, not scratchy at all. Although it is translucent, you can see it on the steps because our steps have a bit of shine and the plastic film is matte. Personally I like this way better than carpet pads - less noticeable, easier to clean.

Purchased these strips for my wood porch stairs. Adhesive was excellent and the installation was easy. Traction is good. I live in a cold climate (Prairie Canada) and so far had no issues with peeling or lost of grip through snow and sub zero temperatures.

Habe die Tritte jetzt seit gut einem halben Jahr installiert. Bisher keine Abnutzung. Die Klebung hält ausgezeichnet, habe aber auch sehr darauf geachtet (Stufen erst intensiv gereinigt, dann mit Waschbenzin entfettet, Tritte gleich nach dem Aufbringen mit einer Andruckrolle angepresst). Kaufempfehlung!

Good pre cut length - I can't comment on the stickiness though as I had to put them down on wet wood steps, so used a staple gun, but still good grip.
