A.Vogel Atrogel - 100ml

Arnica gel is brilliant unfortunately the delivery was once again hopeless. Delivery was made to the bottom step of the staircase leading to my flat in full view of the outside world, no knock on the door, nothing to say it was delivered until the delivery confirmation appeared in my emails. I am fed up with this happening please sort it out.

Disaster! I have used this gel for years to relieve joint pains, with great success. However, the manufacturers have just changed the formula. The thickener used to be the plant based cellulose, Hypromellose. Now they are using a synthetic thickener called ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate. The original formula had the advantage of drying completely within five or six minutes, leaving a slightly glossy 'skin'. This meant you could use it anywhere very conveniently. The new formula gel takes ages to dry, and worse still it leaves a very sticky residue on the skin, not unlike the cheaper NSAID rubs. It sticks to clothing, and everything else, and consequently is very inconvenient. The only way around this is to apply toilet tissue, or a piece of thin cloth, and peal it off later. I am pretty annoyed at Vogel. At this price I expect a quality product.

Cooling, soothing, no strong smell. Worked on my bruises and friends swollen ankle. Would buy again.
