Easy Installation / Serves its Purpose Well
Didn’t take long to install into a rather tight commode area. Some flex when not in use, but when bearing down on the handles, suction cups at bottom of legs grip the floor well making it very stable. A lifesaver for my elderly mom‘s bathroom needs.

Quality Varies
I have purchased 4 of these units in the past 6 months or so. These units have had slightly different mixes of features. Depending on which set of features you get, the overall quality ranges from 3 stars to 5 stars. However, I have noticed that the more recent purchases had more of the better features so hopefully these are product improvements being worked in as production goes along, and that all future units have the best feature set.The variable features are 1) the ends of the vertical legs, which may be round caps such as on the end of a crutch, or wide suction cups, and 2) the method of attaching the arms to the mounting plate under the toilet seat, which may be detent pegs or screw-in wing nuts. The 1st 2 units I purchased had the round cap leg ends and the detent balls. The 3rd has suction cup feet and detent balls, which was a bit better. The 4th and most recent had the suction cups and the wingnuts, which was the best. The detent balls, especially with the round cap feet, allow the arms to wobble a fair amount, which is a problem for users who themselves are wobbly. This is the 3-star version. The suction cup feet limit arm wobble a lot even with the detent balls, but there's still some wobble. This is the 4-star version. The wingnuts plus suction cups make the arms totally rigid. This is the 5-star version. Hopefully this will be the configuration from here on.Regardless of version, all these units assemble and mount to the toilet very easily, like in about 5 minutes. Any difficulty with installation will be due to the existing toilet seat mounting hardware, not this unit. As the toilet seat has to be removed and then reattached, certain types of mounting hardware are easier than others. So your mileage will vary depending on your pre-existing toilet seat hardware.

My Dad Loves It
Got it for my dad as he is getting a bit unstable. Delivered quick. Instructions easy. Fairly stable. Suction cups on floor work well. The legs have a slight wobble side to side, but should be sufficient and feels sturdy enough. Biggest issue I had was the side bar covers up the existing fixed toilet paper roll holder. Got him a freestanding holder instead. Glad I got it. He doesn't need to be falling. He had been using the bath tub as something to grab to help him get up. Geez...90 something year olds!

Easy to use
I'll just say I have had this for a year and it is still working great! Very comfortable to use. Easy to assemble.

Wish it had a more adjustable height
The box came damaged, but all the pieces were there and the actual item was in good shape, so I gave it a try. This set seems sturdy enough, but it does wobble a little if you put more of your weight on it when getting up. I installed this for my elderly father and he had trouble getting a good height adjustment for the bars, so we had to bend them to make them lower. I think some sort of rubber piece would be useful for the direct toilet attachment, as the plastic slides just a little, no matter how much I tighten the bolts. The back of our plastic toilet seat broke a little due to how tight I had to adjust the bar, so I think there is definitely some kind of improvement to be made there. Other than that, it’s good enough to use, and wide enough to fit just about anyone in our home (we have a family of wide hips). Would I buy it again? Probably not. Will this work for others? I’m sure.

very unstable
Let me add to what others have written before - this product is unstable and dangerous. There is no rigidity to the mounting design - where the aluminum tubes attach to the robust steel bracket there is only one bolt per side - which can not be tightened down sufficiently. The bolt becomes a pivot point. The arms splay out and bend in about 3 inches in either direction. If the infirm individual makes the mistake of grasping only one side, expecting it to be solid, they will be shocked to find they are already falling in that direction - and if they are heavy I have no doubt they would bend and possibly snap the arm off on their way to the floor. the suction cup feet will not adhere to a bathroom floor unless it is polished tile/marble with no joints, which would be extremely uncommon. so the suction cups are bouncy and the arms depress about 1/2" before the ends of the arms touch the floor. Very disconcerting. I bought this for my elderly, installed it and gave it a test run. I was freaked out myself by the wobbliness! As a professional installer of ADA handrails and the like, I think this product should be off the market or significantly redesigned. We returned the product and opted for the "Adjustable Handrail Assist Grab Bar by Vaunn ", which is not perfect but loads more stable.
