Is this clasp light enough to use on dainty gold necklaces? Some clasps are quite heavy and pull the necklace down on the back on the neck. Thank you.

These clasps are definitely not light enough for dainty necklaces. These clasps won't slide to the front but if the pendant on the necklace is lighter than the clasp then you will end up basically wearing a choker. The clasp falls down your back and the necklace gets pulled up right to your neck instead of staying where it should.

Do these contain nickel?

The website says alloy but I don't know if that means nickel. You can go to the site page and under buy now you will see sold by "ToGdmaoo". You can send an email to them by clicking on their name to ask. You will need the product name in your email. Amazon will facilitate that process for you. It can take a couple of days to hear back from companies.
