Ka-Bar Hard Sheath, Foliage Green, 7-Inch/Large

Love this sheath! Even though the one they sent me wasn't close to being green (it's gray for some reason) but it still looks OK and functions perfectly. The knife fits great and I have no problem being able to draw the knife without any problems. The strap works well if you want to make sure the knife stays put or you're jumping out of an airplane. ;) It's not really needed though. The tension is perfect for holding the blade securely but loose enough it's not a pain to draw the blade out of the sheath. Plus, it's hard plastic which is far superior to leather in case it gets wet. Trust me, if you're outdoors all the time, you want a hard plastic sheath with your knife. Leather will break down and become worn very quickly but the hard plastic sheath will survive almost anything. You can run it over with a truck, submerge it in water, beat it with a hammer and the knife inside will be protected. Granted, it won't survive everything you could throw at it but what could? Far more durable and practical than a leather sheath plus the attachment system is not too bad. I like quick attach/detach systems but this knife went on my bug out bag so it's not really needed in this case. Highly recommended sheath though for the money!

It fits the dog's head kabar snugly but does not clip, if you're not too picky the nylon clasp will work just fine. If you're concerned if the dogs head knife will rattle in the glass filled nylon sheath, it will not. The sheath grips the area behind the blade very snuggly but does not scratch. It fits my molle kabar adapter as well. All in all it's an upgrade from the too tight, too dry, Made in Mexico leather sheath that always seems to come from the factory warped. Kabar made an excellent hard sheath.

Fits and stays snug, won't come loose. Good buy & fit. Only issue is molle webbing is not wide enough to use, but easily modified to work. Also, would be nice if black nylon was removable & not riveted on. We don't all wear all black. Very durable and high quality otherwise. Recommended for 7"ers!!

Shealth is of good quality build. The only reason I give it a 4 out of 5 stars is because in a question I asked about this sheath's compatability with the Ontario SP-1 combat, I was told by another customer the sheath would fit. Turns out it didn't. But I had another generic knife that it would fit with. As far as the K-Bar, if it will fit it like the description said it will, it should be a great sheath!

Fits the standard issue kabar perfectly. Better than a metal sheath as it won't dull the edge taking it in and out, plus won't "clink" against other gear. Better than a leather sheath as it won't suffer water damage and rot from the elements. It's molle friendly so can be positioned to however you like getting at it on your LBE. I highly recommend it.

Awesome product and great piece added to my ka-bar holds firm but operates smoothly attached to my vest like it was meant to love it I have recommended it to everyone I know that owns a ka-bar

Perfect fit for a Kabar I just bought. The factory sheath didn't fit for some reason and I got another leather sheath that had the same problem. Decided to go with this one and it's money well spent. Like to see it in other colors.
