very quiet, which I love. I have only done herbs, and it worked great. Took a hot minute to figure out how to increase the space from small to higher, but that was operator error. :-) I would recommend this product.

I bought this dehydrator to replace an old one that had worn out. The operation is similar but I have to say, I am really enjoying the clear design of this one in comparison. Before, I was always lifting trays to check on the progress of dehydration, but with these trays I’m able to see. I don’t need to waste heat by constantly opening it to check anymore. I still do occasionally lift and rotate trays for long dehydrations but that is more out of habit than necessity. My old machine wasn’t as balanced in its drying and needed that. This machine is so much more consistent. The only thing that I wish had been included is solid trays for making fruit leather. I had some from my old machine that fit. They can be bought separately if you want them and I will probably do that to upgrade to more modern silicone. Some things I like about this machine are the adjustable temperature and number of trays included. I find dehydrators work best, the more trays I have inside, which is probably why the heat is so even in this one. The trays are dishwasher safe, which is a help, especially if making something messy like jerky. Because of the large diameter, I lay them flat on the top shelf to do so. It is a very nice dehydrator. Perfect size for pretty much everything I need. Good for making dehydrated meals for camping, preserving stuff from my garden, making jerky and fruit leathers, etc.

I bought this NutriChef Electric dehydrator mainly to make beef jerky for my kids. I’m pleased with the results. Please check out the video for size comparison, appearance, and sound. I used kiwi and dragon fruit. The end result was great! If y’all are wondering why the dragon fruit is sticky it’s because I marinated it in honey.

Seems to work fine. I tried drying some parsley. According to the internet you should dry it at 95 degrees, so I set the temperature at the first notch. It took a long time, over 10 hours and it still was not dry. However, since it was new I kept unplugging it every time I left the house, for safety purposes until I was sure it would be safe to continue to run unattended. The power cord is short which is as electrical guidelines indicate, and you are not to place it on any flammable surfaces, wood trivets, or counters, cutting boards, so I placed it on my stove. Eventually I placed it on a metal rack that actually elevated it to 2 inches above any surface. Dehydrator was fine, and did get warm. I finally turned it up to the mark at 104 degrees and it finished drying. So the temperature knob is a little confusing to interpret. I do like the fact that there is a temperature control, it is very easy to clean and is actually very compact. I think it will work fine for my needs.

my first dehydrator. been using my air fryer, but it could only hold 1/2 apple at a time and apples take approx 6 hrs to dry, so wanted an actual dehydrator to be more efficient and give my beloved air fryer back for other uses. love the size of this machine as its reasonable on taking counter space. light enough I could stash it on top of fridge if I wanted. warns about keeping not setting it on non-heat resistant counters , tables, etc. the sides get warm but it is only a bit warm on my counter, so no problem. I sliced a medium apple for each of the 5 trays so as not to over load a given tray. I did rotate the trays half way thru, but didn't really see a need to do so (at least not with apples....may depend on what is being dried). the manual is very detailed except for suggesting what temp to use for different foods. I just set mine on high. the air appears to be circulating well. the machine is very quiet. I will gently hand wash the trays rather than risking them in dishwasher. so, while I am no expert on dehydrators, I am extremely pleased with this machine. looks nice on my counter , and I am sure it will get a lot of use. I am not planning on doing meats, fish, jerky or fruit leather. mostly fruits for me.

Maybe it’s all dehydrators, but the idea of this was way better than actually using it. It’s fairly quiet while running, is a pretty decent size (not too big), made some nice dehydrated strawberries on the first use, and a seemingly great price. BUT it’s not dishwasher safe (not easy to clean), takes FOREVER to dry things out that aren’t sliced paper thin, and started sounding a little weird after the first use.

Just what I needed. On/Off, and a dial for heat. I loaded up the trays with rosemary and let it run for about 24 hrs on med/high heat. Performed as expected. This is a simple tool, and I appreciate the simple controls - I did not want timers and digital settings. Happy with my new dehydrator.

I love this dehydrator, Im a rookie in this field and This machine is real basic so its perfect I read some reviews that said it was really loud. It must be the one they got because Mine is whisper quiet it’s really quality material so far. I’m enjoying myself very much using it.!!

Der NutriChef Dörrautomat ist kompakt, nimmt wenig Platz ein und lässt sich sehr einfach bedienen. Besonders angenehm ist der leise Betrieb, sodass man ihn problemlos auch über längere Zeit laufen lassen kann. Die fünf Einschübe bieten ausreichend Platz für verschiedene Lebensmittel und der Trocknungsprozess läuft gleichmäßig. Ich freue mich schon sehr auf die nächste Pilzsaison, um Steinpilze und Maronen zu trocknen. Ein praktisches Gerät für den Hausgebrauch, das einen soliden Eindruck macht.

I have wanted a dehydrator for years but it was only recently, after my daughter's boyfriend gave a jar of his apple chips, that I became obsessed. My daughter got me this dehydrator as a Mother's Day gift and I've been experimenting ever since. I love this machine - it fits nicely on my kitchen island (it could fit on a counter) and is so quiet. I highly recommend this product!
