Here's the funny part - I actually didn't mean to order this cable.... I recently purchased a new Pixel phone and wanted to buy some safe-to-use USB-C to USB-C cables to charge my phone. I saw that Black Squid makes compliant cables and purchased this, thinking it was a C to C cable. It's not and I discovered it only when it arrived.When the Amazon merchant, Velesco, contacted me to confirm my satisfaction, I mentioned the order mistake. They quickly refunded my money, which was incredibly generous on their part. The cable itself is sturdy and reliable, (and has the Benson Leung stamp of approval) but the merchant is the best.

I'd previously bought a straight Type C to Type C Black Squid cable from Velesco which testing revealed to be faulty - several months down the line, despite initial results looking good.Velesco stood by their warranty and satisfaction guarantees and refunded me the cost of the cable even tho it'd been several months, since it'd been proven to be a potential hazard (and yes, they did stop selling that particular cable altogether).Thus, I'm leaving a positive review even tho the product was ultimately not usable because that's exactly how I think a company should handle a scenario like that, and this counts for as much or more than the mere fact that they had a dud.

Works fine. I bought it, but for some reason I thought a meter was much longer than it actually is. Be warned this cable is roughly the length of a grown male's arm.

Since I built my current PC with a Type C port, I have been looking for an affordable option to transfer photos from, and movies to my Galaxy S7. I used to use a Type A to micro USB cable, but I can definitely say that this Black Squid cable is significantly faster. I was able to transfer an entire 3 gb movie to my phone in half the time it used to take.The cable itself is pretty great looking and the wire is a great length. It connects very securely to my phone and does not fall out. My favorite part about it is how quickly it charges. It can charge my phone from my pc quite a bit faster than my old Type A to micro usb cable. Overall, This cable is great and for this price, you can't beat it. I did receive this cable for a discount in exchange for an honest review, but I would never allow that to skew my opinion.Pros:-Fast charging speed-Very fast data transfer-Fits very securelyCons:None
