D5S 35W Xenon HID 6000K White Replacement Headlight Light Bulbs, 2 Pack

First off, these aren’t the best option on the market, those go to a certain aftermarket brand costing about $350. But at this price point, these work wonderfully. The light output and range is a dramatic improvement over the factory D5S lamp in my 2018 Equinox LT.-(Note the newer Premier/LTZ Chevy vehicles have LED from the factory, and cannot be upgraded, but LT models with D5S HID can.)The factory lamps are adequate, until it rains…at just 2200lumens, while brighter than halogen, they’re not bright enough for higher riding vehicles like trucks and SUVs.These start off much more blue in color than the factory lamps and take about 10 seconds longer to reach full warm-up due largely to their colder color and higher wattage. So plan for that when starting up night.Upgrading by just 10 watts increases lumen output by about 50% (2200 factory vs 3300 now) and it’s immediately noticeable, also the “colder” light color gives much better contrast to signs, lines, and objects on the road.The lamp is difficult to replace on the equinox due to space limitations. Remove the air box on the passenger side and that side is easy, but the battery makes the driver side more frustrating. If I had to do it again, I’d probably remove the battery before beginning.The lamps do tend to momentarily flicker out when the Autostop/Start restarts the engine. These are higher wattage than stock of course, and the vehicle doesn’t quite supply enough power to them to keep them lit, but I can just put the shifter in range mode, set to highest gear, and then Autostop is disabled, which is how I drive it most of the time anyway. It’s likely that LED versions eliminate this issue, but I don’t want the dark spot in my light field they create.All in all, I’m extremely pleased, it’ll be much easier to see the animals here in rural Ohio now. Knowing there is a lifetime warranty from the seller is a really nice deal too. :)

So initial installation (follow the instructions!) these were super bright and lit up the road nicely. They have reduced in light output which has been witnessed by several others. The left bulb went out, and the shop sent me a new one. It has something wrong with it and it projects a dark spot on the driver side. 2018 silverado.

These bulbs are absolutely amazing for the price. They are much brighter and cleaner looking than the factory bulbs that came on my 2018 GMC Sierra 1500. They were very easy to install. Plug and play. The ballast and overall construction of the product seem to be excellent quality. The fact the company offers a lifetime warranty on the product was definitely an added value in helping to make my decision in purchasing these bulbs over many other bulbs I researched and compared brightness, color, reviews, ease of installation, and overall quality of product. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking to replace a bulb that went out or even just looking to upgrade or improve overall visibility and look of their truck.

I was having issues with the bulbs, but customer service was good. Bulbs are better than the original of my 2018 sierra, a little more brighter which helps. But in my case I'm not sure why the bulbs were not working properly but spoke a guy from the dealer and sometimes bulbs are not a match, gave me a couple things to check and try and if all fails, he said disconnect the battery to reset the system. Did that and now working properly. Not bad for the price but what customer service was helpful and lifetime, you can't go wrong with that.

The time it would turn on it was very bright, just what I been wanting. But I can not keep on playing with these lights when they don't turn on.

I bought these for my 2017 Silverado because I bought my truck used and I noticed that the lights weren't bright enough to my satisfaction. I was able to find these bulbs and install them without problems. If you happen to install them on your Silverado, be gentle on the release tab on your headlight. I broke some of the release tab. If the release tab doesn't push down with ease, it's not sitting correctly inside the headlight. The sticker that's branded with their logo/company name was ripped which indicated that this box was open after the sticker was put on. I don't know if these bulbs were returned or not. Other than that, they've been working great.

Installed them.in my 2018 GMC sierra.turned them on.started to flicker.asked gm dealer.cannot up the wattage.in these trucks.only will power factory 25watt hid bulbs.system will not have the per to lite them.could cause other electrical problems.

Easy to install under 20 mins only needed a flat head to take off air filter on passenger side . Love the bluish tint in these and are way brighter then my factory bulbs. Love them . Hoping they last!
