OSD Trevoce 12" Triple Driver Active Subwoofer 800W, Native EQ 15Hz Bass Response, Faux Leather Finish

I will edit this review once I get the power cord that was supposed to be included. It's a standard one, I just don't have an extra one.I'm very pleased with the way it was shipped. It came double-boxed with plenty of padding... more than I had imagined was necessary... the way it should be :) Visually, the quality is as one might expect from a speaker of this price range: outstanding. The finish is not faux leather. It's just your typical semi-matte plastic look. Other than the incorrect description, it looks nice as you can see.I'll be back with a final review as stated.Edit: I received the power cord within 5 business days (thanks for the timely response) and had it up and running quickly. I'm using this as a supplement to my Logitech Z906, so I ran a sub cable to the back of my cave and hooked the power to a remote switch. This a POWERFUL SUBWOOFER. You'll need to adjust the settings and angle it right. It's not all about sharp bass thunder, which this unit fully provides as any large sub should, but works in the background for movies and music with a very powerful punch.note: make sure to use a shielded sub cable so as not to gain noise.

First off, I was disappointed to find (after I received it) that they removed the ability to control this sub with a phone app. That was the big selling point to me - to be able to adjust on a per-album, or per-song, or per-file type being played, while sitting in my listening chair - might have made this a worthwhile purchase.I have a 40+ year old BSR down-firing passive 15" subwoofer being powered by a 220 watt Fosi Audio TP-02 Subwoofer Amplifier that puts this thing to shame.Maybe it might sound better after a few hundred hours break-in, but for now the volume goes from being too low to even know it's there to 'booming' at high volume. Those 2 side 'speakers' that don't really connect to anything are a joke. It's just a gimmick. Don't waste your money.Ironically, the day after I wrote this review, I turned my home theater system on only to hear this thing suddenly producing a rattling noise (as if something inside came loose) - even at low volume. I'm in the process of trying to get a refund. I've only had it for 6 weeks!Edit #2: On a brighter note, I feel obligated to mention that OSD gave me a total refund, including a check for the $25+ it took to repackage and ship the 97 pound item back to them. Kudos to them for the near-daily updates from their rep via the support ticket and for upholding their 60 day warranty.I look at it this way... Lesson learned: Never purchase a 100 pound speaker via ground delivery that has to travel 2,500 miles as the crow flies (and probably well over 3,000 miles at it gets loaded and unloaded at the numerous UPS distribution centers along the way).

Definitely High Value Per Dollar Spent With This Subwoofer. I Have The Discontinued SVS PB-1000 As My Main Subwoofer And Was Looking To Replace/Upgrade From My Second Powered H.T. Subwoofer Which Was a Def-Tech DN8. THE OSD Trevoce 12" Fits This Bill Perfectly. I Watch Movies via Streaming/Blu-Rays/4k UHD BD Mostly and This Subwoofer in Tandem With My SVS Performs Well. Watching The Depth-Charge Scene in U-571 and The Disc Wars Scene in TRON: Legacy Are What I Always Load Up When I Want To Show-Off or Test My H.T. System and The OSD Black Trevoce 12 Did Admirably.

I just bought this subwoofer because my Klispch r-115s stopped working. The panel amp went out on it which is common after researching. Was going to buy another Klispch 15” woofer but decided on the OSD. Let me tell you 3 -15inch drivers makes a huge difference! Just when I thought nothing could beat Klispch for the price, I was pleasantly wrong. This sub hits hard, loud and fills the room up more than the Klispch ever did! I only took off a star because I bought it on sale $100 off. Cosmetics issue with a defect on the surface of the subwoofer. Nothing was wrong with the box when it arrived. So I just think its crappy that if you get a sale discount, it shouldn’t come with any defects. Other than that, buy this subwoofer! You will not be disappointed. Beats Klispch hands down. The app is usable and you can fine tune the sub even more. ++

Using in a 9.4.6 configuration.I purchased 2 of the OSD Trevoce 12" subwoofers @ $349 ea.Would purchase again.Very well made - a fine quality productPerfect for my purpose.I wish I could have purchased these just a couple weeks sooner. I would have saved $98 USIf the 15" goes back down to $499 US I would like to get 2 of these also.The TREVOCE 15" @ $699 ea. US OUCH! There is more competition out there for $699 US. Which makes it a harder sell for me. GOODBYE TREVOCE 15"

The speaker separated after about 2 hours of use resulting in a rattle. Company couldn't replace the speaker that broke so I asked for a return and refund. Company was great to work with responded quickly and took care of my return no problem.

I purchased this subwoofer to compare to a Klipsch R-12SW. At over twice the price, it has more power, but the sound quality is inferior at best. I realized I can't return it and now the price has dropped $100 ( I just got it a few days ago). Very disappointing.

The sub developed a bad rattle after a few weeks, OSD customer support was great and gave me the option of a replacement or refund. I went with the replacement, so far the second unit has not had any issues.2/12/25- update, replacement sub still working with no issue. I have updated my rating to 4 stars.
