Taste Great and Very Convienient
I love anchovies, and these are excellent - very firm and just the right amount of salt. The fact that they come in jars instead of cans makes them even better - easier to use and store after opening. One odd thing is that a 4 oz jar seems to get used up faster than a 2 oz tin! Not sure why that is (I am not suggesting that the weight is wrong, but I have not measured it); maybe it's just because I like them so much? I guess I'll have to open a tin and compare the weights of fish and oil in both, just to be sure. For now, I trust the label, and I'm sticking with my 5-star rating. One minor complaint is that the jars did not seem to be sealed very well from the factory - when the box came there were signs of oil staining on the cardboard, and most of the jars were somewhat oily. None of the lids were loose (but they all could be tightened just a little bit more), and there was no oil dripping out of the box, so the leakage was slight, but still unusual. This could be caused by the fact I live over 7,000 feet in altitude, and everything expands as it gets up here. As long as none of them arrive worse than this in the future, I won't complain.

Mush and Stink
Bought these in May 2024. Expiration of the 12 pack purchased is June 2025. The 4 cans opened exploded when you opened them, the anchovies were mush and a truly rancid smell. Had to throw out. Reached out to Seasons customer service. No courtesy of even a go F yourself. I will never buy these again.

Very high quality product
I love that these anchovies come in glass. They are the perfect size and I look forward to using them as part of my meals. The box I received from Amazon had two broken jars so the olive oil leaked out into the box. I work for Amazon in their Problem Solve department at the sortation center my box passed through. I know that no one was at fault. The seller did an excellent job packaging the jars. The person who packed them in the Amazon box was required to use the size box the computer determines. Unfortunately, there is too much room in the box even with the bubbles they are packed in. The only solution I know of would be for the seller to pack them in their own boxes with no extra space but that would also mean raising the price. The anchovies taste great. They are wild caught and packed in 100% olive oil. The product is exactly as described and the seller goes to great detail to bring this product to those with a taste for anchovies. Amazon refunded me the price of the product. So everyone exceeded my expectations. I hope people will still consider purchasing this product. Most of the time everything goes smoothly with the transport.

Perfect package but exploded
Latest update: Seasons stands behind their products. You must go to their direct website and furnish direct product info with proof of purchase. They replaced all 12 cans and this batch is why i buy Seasons anchovies. Update: HALF OF THESE SEALED CANS ARE READY TO BURST! BAD-BAD-BAD. I AM POSTING THE EXPIRATION DATE OF JUN 02, 2025. Today is 1/30/2024. Once a slight pull on the tab occurred the tin exploded, smelled bad, and tasted worse. Not sure what caused the problem but the contents were rotten. Expiration date was a year in the future. Have 11 more packages and will update review.

WARNING: Literally a Rotten Product
Our first can was delicious; however our second can smelled awful and was obviously spoiled. We then opened several more cans and they too were spoiled at different levels which might have ruined our ceasar salad if we hadn't been aware because of the first can. There was no damage to the boxes to tip us off. Some of the cans were swollen; each can had varying levels of expansion so might not have noticed right away!No response from seller.Wrote a letter to the manufacturer, and they responded and sent us their cost a replacement.

Tastes fine, but it's mostly mush
These anchovies taste good, not too salty and very flavorful. However, in the jars I received, the 'filets' were mostly broken up into small pieces and fragments, rendering them unsuitable where proper anchovy filets are required. Unless you want these specifically for recipes that ask for chopped or crushed anchovies (a Puttanesca, say), look for another brand.

Value is a Six Plus
Incredible value. Compare to other offerings. The big question is 'why?'.Simple--made in Peru. All of the other anchovies I saw were European or North African. The traditional producers. Does it make a difference? To me, no. I can't taste any fall off in taste or quality. So, if you like to put anchovies in red sauce or brown gravies, these work just fine. I like them on pizza and pasta or where ever you want salted fish.Try'em.

NOT Filets
The taste is good and not too salty. However, the anchovies were definitely not filets. One was leaking oil, so it was opened for inspection. The anchovies were minced. Another was opened because I wanted filets for a pizza topping. Nope, more minced anchovies. I guess they will be OK for cooking and adding to dressings, but they are anything but anchovy filets.
