In the 7 opening frame, how do you keep each photo in place?

A) Lay the frame upside down, then lay and center each picture, also upside down, over a frame opening. Then lay the piece of thin white foam packing material that was included over the pictures, and lock the black backing panel in place, using the little tabs. The friction of the packing material and backing panel should then hold everything in place when the frame is in a vertical position. Or B) Use a little piece of tape to attach each photo to a place on the frame that won't be seen from the front when the frame is reassembled.

Does this frame require any picture mounting hardware to be attached or is it ready to hang?

Ready to hang  no additional hardware necessary.

can this be hung horizontally as well?

It does not have the fixtures on the back to hang horizontally from the wall.

The pictures I need to frame are 4 1/8" x 5 7/8". Can someone measure the actual size of the opening? Thanks so much!

It was a gift for someone else. But as I recall the openings were for 4x5. If you can crop a tiny bit off your pictures, it might fit. Sorry I couldn't do better. It is a nice frame.
