Wimberley P-5 Camera Body Plate - Made in USA

After purchasing several cheap chinese made tripod accessories, I decided to try a Wimberley product, I was so impressed I purchased several others. I like the fact it's made in the US, machining, design, and overall form factor are much nicer then the knockoff products. The excellent manufacturing allows you to leave it on the camera, without sharp edges that are unconformable to hold. In the end I have a lot invested in my photography equipment, it's not worth the risk with a poorly made bracket. I'm very pleased with Wilberley, and would happily buy again.

I have several Wimberley products and they are all excellent! The machining is great and their stuff works well. There's not much to say about a plate other than it works and it looks nice. I'm glad they're still making their products in the US! The only con is the price. $50 for a plate is a bit ridiculous. I have other plates and brackets that are made in the USA and machining and quality is on par with Wimberley and they are a bit cheaper.

Fits perfectly on the new Sony RX10iii. Doesn't consume a lot of camera real estate, yet offers a firm tripod platform.

I liked how well the Wimberley camera plate worked on my Fuji X-t2, that I ordered another one for my other camera body. It's carefully machined, and is adjustable to create a perfect fit on the camera base plate.

A little over priced but this is a sweet mounting plate. The screw and plate metal is high quality. I am positive this thing will last a lifetime. Even the rubber mounting is sturdy enough to get some bite when you tighten down.

Wimberley product. Excellent workmanship. What more can I say? I have several Wimberley plates and they're all flawless. This one is no exception.

Wimberley is Wimberley. Their quality and customer service is as good as it gets. The only caveat about this camera body plate: on some cameras, like the Nikon D500, the plate will overlap the battery compartment; so you have to remove and reset (rescrew?) the plate each time you change the battery. That takes about 2 min. Inconvenient, but, as Wimberley points-out in their literature, they can't predict what each new camera body will look like. Did I say "Wimberley is Wimberley"? Yeah, I said that.

Works perfectly with my Fujifilm X-S20 and Markins Q3 Ball Head. The plate came with two allen keys, safety screws and clear instructions. It really is a quality product, although a bit pricey for what it is.
