Brazil Classics 1: Beleza Tropical

Wonderful music

While a great purchase for the music history buff, I'm underwhelmed with this record for the intention I ordered it. Perhaps I didn't clearly get from the description that there's really no chill lounge house music here at all. Just goes to show you must be careful how you search on Amazon, as others don't always tag items the way you would - or others Miss tagged items intentionally to potentially increase sales. If I were collecting Brazilian music through the decades, this would be a worthy addition. However, I'm just a casual listener listener of chill Lounge house.

Beautiful Brazilian music.

I absolutely love this collection of Brazilian music compiled by David Byrne.This CD was a gift, because I could not find the LP.

This is one of my all time favorite albums, and I am a music snob! I'm not a connoisseur of Brazillian music by any means, but I simply love all of these songs and in the past 10 plus years have never tired of them. Perhaps I'm biased, but I don't think these songs sound dated and I think they have a timeless quality to them. I always think of what the liner notes say about young and old listening to the same music together- it makes Brazil sounds like an even more magical place.I did get the Beleza Tropical Vol. 2 that David Byrne released later, and it wasn't anywhere near as good. Stick with this one and you won't be disappointed.

many of the greats contained herein. Wonderful taste of MPB. I had this on cassette when I was 12, not I have the digital version and can once again enjoy my favorites.

Great Brazilian Music

Perfect. Just as promised.I love strawberry jam. I wish I had more strawberry jam. I would bathe in it.

It's sooooo good. Such a feel good collection. I can't stop listening to it. I think I'm learning Brazilian Portuguese. I love it and EVERYONE who listens to it loves it.
