They sprout !
For me the test of high quality full of vitality fresh almonds is 'would they sprout'? Many previous purchases of almonds by other suppliers have disappointed me including organic. After soaking overnight & leaving in a warm place, refreshing daily, three days later little sprout heads started to poke up. I understand this as the most nutritious time to eat the almonds, which I found to be richly almondee sweet & mellow, which makes top notch almond milk. As recommended on pack I store almonds around 8 degrees in top of fridge & re-vacuum the bag. They sprout every time. I Highly recommend these superb Veggie Duck almonds.

Brilliant for delicious almond milk
I gave it a 4 star because although they are good almonds they are not the best I have had. Having said that like any any natural food product you are depending on the harvest of any particular year. I was looking for a replacement for my insanely expensive organic almonds and these seem to be the best alternative on the market. I make almond milk (so much cheaper than buying it and at least I know what is going in!) and always have had the best result with European almonds. You cannot compare them with supermarket bought almonds that are almost always Californian almonds. I have also used these almonds to make almond flour and that worked brilliantly. The cookies and cake were delicious. I rinse them first and dry them for the almond flour, for almond milk I soak them for a day (or two in the fridge) and then whizz in the blender. Taste was good and I even got some foam for almond cappuccino! They were packaged well (vacuum packed) and after opening I put half of them in a container and put a clip in the plastic bag. They arrived on time. I can recommend and will definitely buy again. If you find them dry and soft or you find dust on them just rinse and dry.

Good quality
Nice. Almonds, but a bit more expensive than some ( still, they are from the USA which I never buy from anymore).

Bitter almonds
Up until now I have enjoyed them most mornings with my porridge. However this latest batch has had quite a few really bitter almonds so I have to tentatively try each one before I have the confidence to chew. This is the fifth pack I have bought but I think I will have to now shop elsewhere as quality control seems to be an issue which is rather a shame as until now they have been fine.

Not as good as Californian almonds
I was so looking forward to trying Italian almonds but wish I’d not bothered. They are soft not crisp and crunchy, the texture is more like coconut and they have little taste. Luckily I only bought one bag so I can go back to Californian ones soon.

Very good, recommended.
Bought these for almond milk- excellent. Then being obsessed with trying to find the best, I paid £4 per kilo more for fancy organic almonds from Italy. More expensive organic nuts arrived at least 5 months old, are tasteless and making milk that's barely better than store bought, regardless of soaking for two days. These arrived barely a month old from packing, super fresh. Thick plastic vacuum sealed bag and bagged per kilo- much much more fresh and also had the species on the back- Tuono- hard shell variety ie lower yield= more taste, that's what you want. Very pleased, the almond milk is special and an excellent price. I do 100g almonds pre-soak weight to 1.5L water= about 90p per litre for almond milk you just can't buy in the shop, post soak weight= about 10% almond milk. Pre soak to activate.
