Love this Keratine leaves my hair soft and not freez, loved.

I don't believe this is over-priced at all. Me: I'm multi-racial. My hair is thick (Polynesian, Asian, Portuguese & Italian descent); long (mid-back) and has a mind of its own (wavy, curly, frizzy & dry). My hair "drinks" conditioner like a camel in the desert. I can straighten it- but it doesn't stay that way for long. With product, I can let it air dry- but it looks horribly messy. With humidity- I end up "bunning" it- which pulls on the strands, causing breakage. Getting my hair professionally straightened, or relaxed, costs well over $250 each time. I didn't have a round brush to dry my hair with; my straightener has ceramic plates (not titanium); and I didn't order the $20 bottle of GK ph+ clarifying shampoo (-I used a $4 bottle of Neutrogena Anti-Residue shampoo). Because I didn't use the exact items, I'm sure my application won't last 5 months- and that's ok! I don't mind doing the process again because it was hella simple! I was pretty surprised at how soft my hair felt, afterward. My daughter couldn't stop running her fingers through it. Last time I did this in a salon- my hair ended up stick-straight, w/no life. I couldn't add a wave, add volume- nothing! It also fried my hair & the strands broke off (she burned my scalp & I could smell my hair, burning). Nice thing about this "GK the Best Hair Taming System' is "I" had complete control over the process; "I" decided how long to leave it on (25 min); "I" decided how I wanted to straighten it; and "I" can do it again, on my own time and when I need to (3 or 4 applications in the bottle). *4 Salon applications= $1000 ($250+/each) VS. 4 home treatments=$108 (one time cost). This Amazon price tag was worth it! This is a winner! FYI- (1) the writing on the bottle is really, really small! -Invest in a magnifying glass, or find the directions on line- it's important you follow the right directions for the type of treatment; (2) it doesn't come with an application brush; (3) - or, gloves. I expected it to & for as much as the bottle cost, it would've been nice.

I have been using the GK hair taming straightening system for over 15 years applied by a stylist in a salon (resistant formula) as well as performed by myself at home (the best treatment) including the deep conditioner. Please be aware the formula has changed for the worse in some way. I am not a stylist, just someone who has used this product and has seen the amazing benefits of the old version and the damaging effects of the new version. The old “resistant” and “the best” versions were great about 5-10 years ago. In the past 5 years especially, I have seen a drastic change in the product and how it reacts with my hair. Also as many reviewers have stated on both Amazon and the GK hair website, when you order “the best” treatment from either Amazon or GK Hair, the product often comes in a damaged packaged with a broken seal on the bottle and the product itself has a different texture (thicker) and is hard to get out of the bottle and the smell is subtle (all previous versions had a very strong smell) This might be due to the product seal being broken and the product has gone bad or expired. I recently ordered a bottle of the best treatment directly from the GK hair website and received a damaged open product which after application caused my hair to be so extremely dry that I have to use a expensive heavy conditioning repair mask treatment just to try to heal my hair from the GK hair treatment. Beware!

It MIGHT even straighten out your waves a little bit. DEPENDING IN YOUR HAIR TYPE AND THICKNESS YOU MAY EXPERIENCE SOME STRAIGHTENING EFFECT. However, the ONLY promise of a keratin treatment is to REDUCE frizz. Keratin treatment isn't going to last forever. Keratin treatment isn't going to work unless you FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. You don't get a refund because you did something wrong or you did your hair a lazy way. **Directions** THE BEST APPLICATION PROCESS: 1. Wash hair twice with the GKhair pH+ Clarifying Shampoo. 2. Towel dry hair. Comb through with GKhair Vent Brush and section hair into 4 parts. 3. Apply "The Best" with application brush 1/4 inch away from the scalp on each section. 4. Comb through entire head making sure that the treatment is properly distributed and remove the excess treatment with fine tooth comb. 5. Message GKhair The Best Throughout the hair. 6. Let sit 40-60 minutes (From 40 minutes for fine, wavy hair to 60 minutes for thick, coarse, tight curls). 7. Blow Dry the hair 100% while applying tension on the hair using GKhair Thermal Round Brush. 8. Flat iron the hair in small sections with One Touch Titanium Flat iron to seal the hair cuticles. 9. Wash your hair with GKhair Moisturizing Shampoo and apply deep conditioner for 5 minutes. 10. Rinse with water, Blow dry the hair again and style as desired Review: After reading so many reviews, I decided to put an honest one. I did it myself at home and the result is AWESOME! Seriously this product works! My hair is straight, frizz free and soft. I wish I’d taken a before pic so I could post. It does burn/itch if you get it in your scalp but it’s manageable. I left it on 40 minutes. I’ve washed it since and it’s still straight! It does lighten your hair if it’s color treated so fyi. You can color your hair 2 weeks after using it or right before. I will DEFINITELY use this again.

I've been using GK products for four years and I love them. This product used to only be available in a salon but you can do the same keratin treatment at home and save a lot of money. It's a little pricey but it works and you only need a little product to do the job so the bottle will last a long time. I have fine hair and this really helped reduce frizz and boost shine. It's much easier to style now and is super soft. I love this stuff.

I am new to the keratin world. I am bi-racial with curly kinky hair. For years I have had a 2 step curl process on my hair and loved it. Lately however, my hair started breaking and was very dry. It was like needles coming off a Xmas tree. I have never had breakage issues and I can't figure out what happened. I used GK The Best hoping to smooth out the frizzy damaged areas and to relax the curl at the roots and it worked incredibly. I have now used it 3 times (every 4 weeks). No more chemical process for me. My natural hair is beautiful and soft and shiny. I started out on the first time leaving it on for 25 minutes (including application time of 15 minutes and rinsing thoroughly, but on this last time I left is on for 50 minutes (max is 60 which I will try next time) and rinsed lightly leaving some of the product in before flat ironing (check out the website for detailed instructions for hair type and desired result). My hair was never that straight with a chemical relaxer. I can wash and go with curly/wavy hair or blow dry and iron for straight hair. I love this so much that I have branched out to the conditioner (a must!), shampoo and serum. I just ordered the styling products both for curly and straight styles. This is a protein product so don't forget to deep condition (I use Kerastase masquintense and the GK deep conditioner) and use the serum daily. I add an extra shot of argan oil that I mix with the serum.

I AM SO EXCITED I FOUND THIS PRODUCT! I am from Middle east and my hair has always been curly, frizzy, and on the drier side. My hair is is also damaged from frequent heat styling and a few dye jobs. This keratin treatment made my hair feel a thousand times softer, less frizzy, and a lot straighter. That said, this product is amazing and I am so glad I gave it a shot! I also only used 1/4 of the bottle, and I have very long hair! I tried at least 4 other products before. Applying the product was really easy, Unlike other products it had no smell or smoking. The result was good too. The best part was: I didn't have to wait for 3 days to wash my hair. It worked. my hair is soft and straight. I recommend this product.
