How to remove the side "screws"? No slots for screwdriver, cannot pry out. Help!

Those aren't screws, they are studs. The inner and outer bodies of the harp rotate to disengage the studs then they move up or down, your preference. Once adjusted rotate again to lock the studs in place.

this adjustable harp is not very durable you would be much better buying the size you need and not this. bulb size is only standard
