NOT HP/Aruba J8177D Compatible
I have a three-year old HP/Aruba 2530-8-PoE+ (J9780A) switch at home (with old, factory installed firmware) and 20+ brand new HP/Aruba 2350-48G-PoE+ (J9772A) at work. I know from experience that HP goes out of their way to make you buy their brand SFP modules. This would be fine if I could get them locally or within a day or two, but as lead times are usually longer for the OEM SFP's, I stumbled across these and thought it might work in a pinch - and these were 1/6 the price of OEM. It may be compatible with HPE/Aruba switches that require a J8177A or B or C, but this is definitely NOT a compatible replacement for the J8177D that the HP/Aruba 2530 series switches require. I've read on other Amazon reviews that they are compatible with the 1930 series Aruba Instant-On switches. These didn't work on either of the two I just purchased to evaluate the Instant-On platform. I've used other Fiber Mall SFP's that work great for other brands of switches, but I think these shouldn't be labeled on Amazon as being J8177D compatible. YMMV but I think it's a hit-or-miss proposition at best.

Works with HP 1920-16g
Bought in the hopes it worked with an older managed HP switch. The transceivers were just plug and play. No configuration required. Using all for in a trunk/lacp connection to another switch.

Just as good as the Meraki/Cisco branded ones
I have purchased approximately 30 of these over the last year and they have worked flawlessly. I'm never buying the expensive Cisco/Meraki branded modules again.

Compatible with Aruba 1930
Worked with my Aruba Instant On 1930 8-Port PoE. Plugged it in green light and go!

Majority of ordered SFPs were dead
Ordered 10 of these for a network project. 7 were defective. As a heads up, these do not lock into Meraki MS425's. They do lock into the SFP ports on switches like the Meraki MS225.Tested the SFPs across multiple switches and multiple SFP ports just to make sure it wasn't our hardware. The majority (7/10) didn't even get a link light when hooked up to Ethernet. Took authentic Cisco and even some Finsar SFP to Ethernet transceivers and they all worked with no issue. Cisco and Finsar both locked in, received link light, etc.Buyer beware.

Works fine with Aruba Instant On 1930
Great value for the price, especially compared to the stock HPE/Aruba SFPs. It worked fine in an Aruba Instant On 1930, and negotiated to 1000 Mbps without having to configure anything on either end.

Working perfectly with Netgear GS348T
Solid build quality, worked straight away with Netgear GS348T, no errors. On my list to buy again when more are needed.

caps at 1gbps
I understand there are a ton of compatibility considerations with these, maybe it would work better on some other unmanaged switch? for me this capped the cat7 at 1gb on the 10gb port.

Does Not Work in HPE hardware
Purchased for HPE 3800 24sfp 2sfp+ switch - which does not allow the use of the 'allow unsupported transcevers command' this module is not detected J8177C as the box showsThis may work in newer hardware that was rebranded 'HP Aruba' but not Hewlett Packard Enterprise devices that did not make the cutThis is the 4 company I've tried looking for compatable modules was really hoping this would be the one but no such luck. I guess its only stock modules for me R.I.P. my next paycheck ...
