Great oatmeal soap that does not dry out your skin. Decent but not great lather but not drying or stripping when used with hard water. This was a great product but it is pricey for soap. I wish they made a shampoo I could try as this was pleasant smelling and very good on my skin. Size is great and it last long as well. Recommended to people who have issues with dry skin after bathing or showers.

I have cystic acne as well as normal break outs and black heads. I used this soap for about two weeks before I decided to stop because I had washed my face 5 times in a row and my skin became colored and very sensitive, and I wanted it to take a break since I had suffered from facial discoloration for years in the past. It has nothing to do WITH the soap, I'm about to tell you the soap's great, it's more the fact that I washed my face 3 times (twice with a different gentler soap and then a third time with this soap) trying to fully remove a full face of foundation then applied neem oil which burned, then tried to remove that. So.. I'm just trying to be honest about the duration of time that I used the soap, not reflect poorly on the soap by that incident. I feel that I haven't used the soap long enough to know whether or not it is a miracle soap. It didn't deliver instant miracle results but it did deliver instant cleansing and felt healthy to use for my acne and I LOVE the smell. I still had a few small pimples but was beginning to see more balanced skin. I assume some of the small pimples could have come from the detoxing but they were under control from the regular use of the soap and I suspect part of the reason why my skin didn't just go wild is that my build up of toxins is tempered by my healthy diet. I have sensitive skin and I didn't feel that it was drying, as long as it was only used for just one lather and relatively immediate rinse and wasn't left on the skin. To those who say it is made of oil and can't clean oil, I can't testify to the perfect results of this particular soap, but African black soaps as well as green castile soaps that are recommended in North Africa to use in the case of acne, are all oil or fat based and that seems to be part of how they work to be cleansing, I am not sure why. I am looking forward to getting back on track with using this soap very soon and witnessing longer term results.

I like this soap! The smell is really invigorating. When I first opened the box, I was really excited to use it the same day because it just smelt so great! In terms of skin improvements, the first few days of use, my body skin felt soft but I saw some bumps on my face, and I wasn't pleased with that. I typically do not have bumps when I use Dove originals soap, but I had wanted to switch to something more organic that would actually improve the health and quality of my skin. I was thinking of not buying this again, but I had decided to stick to trying for a week. I'm glad I did, because by the end of the week/beginning of the next week, my skin looked really lovely. I was practically glowing and my skin felt really nice and comfortable. Disclaimer: I also use castor oil and aloe vera gel on my face so these products contribute to my results, but I do believe the charcoal soap played a big role in clarifying my skin by bringing out the impurities lying in the layers of my skin. This was probably why I saw the initial bumps. I also gave my mother some of the soap to use (I broke off a piece for her to try) as she had really bad skin due to using toxic skin care products for many years. She had itchy red hives all over her face because of those products that she had to cover with makeup. She tries this soap and, for the first few days, she had similar reaction as mine. A few bumps popping up on her face. But then there was a noticeable change in the quality of her skin after only a week of use. Her skin now looks softer, supple, and she has a youthful glow! (she also uses aloe vera and castor oil). Now she wants to buy 3 more bars and I even advised her to go makeup free because she will soon not need it! This soap is really a must try. It even keeps away mosquitos, apparently! I docked one star only because it can be messy to use in a white shower. You have to be mindful of how you use the soap, but I think that's just characteristic of using charcoal products. But this is one small detail in all the great benefits of use!

Skin is more plumpy and shiny! I was having weird skin issues because of health issues but I love how it’s healed my skin.

This product is very nice for sensitive skin! My daughter really likes the smell of it, so it’s the only face wash she’ll use that I have offered her so far. I love that it has simple ingredients, I am done using stuff with a ton of chemicals! It lasts awhile so it’s definitely worth the money I spent!! This was not the first time I have bought this product.

I'm a 28-year old female (using my husband's account, thus the name), that has dealt with face and back acne since my pre-teen years. Most of my acne is clogged pores, but I sometimes get cyst-type acne that's super painful. I just used this bar on my body hoping to diminish my back acne and I thought it did a good job! It did not totally eliminate my issues, but it definitely lessened the amount and size of acne on my back. I had two favorite things about this soap: 1) the VERY fine abrasive that gently exfoliated but never scratched or felt irritating, and 2) the smell! It had a nice fresh scent that was very faint so it would be great for guys and girls. The only thing that will have me testing out other soaps is it did not last long because it fell apart when it was still about half-an-inch thick. It sits behind my shower curtain away from splashes, so it was not being constantly soaked, but it still seemed to get used up fast. I've only had it since Feb 14 and I already have to buy a new bar today (Mar 1).
