For those who have it mounted vertically, what prevents it from falling out? There doesn't appear to be anything supporting it from the bottom.

My experience with mounting electronics on vehicles tells me you can lose your load at any time. That being said, The hook and loop straps can be tightened very securely and the soft vinyl material on the holder gives a tacky grip on most items. I use this on the down tube of a bicycle holding a JBL Flip5 and the jarring it sustains are considerable. I am confident with this setup.

Will it hold the JBL charge 4

It will hold a speaker at least 6" in diameter and up to 10-12" long.

do the straps cover any buttons on a JBL Flip 6?

I have a Flip 5 and the straps can cover the plus and minus buttons making it loud or soft however a minor repositioning is all that’s needed. Good luck!
