Initial Review: UPDATE
I purchased this same fountain from another local store back in 04 and it worked all these years until finally, the motor gave out a couple of months ago...probably because I forgot to fill the bird bath. I have it sitting in my stone bird bath on my deck- used more for ambiance than as a bird bath even though the birds do love it. My bird bath is shallow and at most, maybe 1.5 inches of water and the fountain works well on the lower to mid range speed. If I put the fountain on high speed, the water splashes out and gets too low, too quickly. I don't know if the motor will last as long as the other one since nothing made today outlasts its predecessors. But, if you're looking for a sturdy fountain with nice sound, this is definitely a worthwhile purchase. REVIEW UPDATE: 26 July 2013 I began using this rock waterfall and noticed that the pump was getting all clogged up with black flakes that were apparently pieces of paint coming off the waterfall. Why in the world would they paint plastic resin that sits in water all the time? The problem was not only on the inside of the waterfall but on the outside as well. I am using the pump from this waterfall in my older model that is a light gray color without any paint. I would not buy this again. Obviously they have changed the design/manfacturer and are making a less quality product now. I wish that I had just replaced the pump. Also, the newer model is larger inside than the older model and so it makes more motor noise than the older model. I think they did this to make it easier to fit the pump inside but they compromised the quiet nature of it and they also changed the fittings so that there are both female and male ends needed on the tubing. ANOTHER UPDATE: 5/16/20: I've been using this pump and waterfall for 6 years. I scrubbed the black paint off the rock - very easy to do with a steel wool or brush. I also purchased a deeper dish that allows for more water which lowers the noise level. Every so often the motor begins to make a sound but I just jiggle it and it stops. I would still recommend purchasing it. When I wrote my negative comments, they were mostly a reaction caused by comparing this to my older model. I don't like most changes but i've learned to adapt and I've been pleased with this fountain. I just started mine up today and it works fine. I had to take a small toothpick to get the wheel to turn but it started up. Every so often the wheel inside the motor might freeze. Just take a small stick, toothpick or other object and just push it to get it started.

Definitely worth buying!
Better than I expected! Looks real, good weight and seems very well made. Good heavy duty cord. I have mine on the lowest setting and it bubbles perfectly. It won't go out side until it warms up a bit but I enjoyed it immensely when I set it up to test it indoors. I'm sure the birds are going to love it!

Good idea for larger bird baths
It looks great, and we thought it would work well in our bird bath. But when set to spray up much, the wind blows the water out, so the bird bath drains slowly. And when set very low, birds like to sit on it. So after several months, we stopped using it. It looks like a natural rock, which is nice. Well made. Plugs into a normal power outlet.

Fabulousโbirds love it!!!
I have wanted a water feature in my bird bath for a long time. This rock shaped bubbler is awesome and I highly recommend. As others stated, I use it on the very lowest setting and it makes a nice bubbly movement for the birds ( I use it in my very old heated birdbath from a local bird store). This next part is for bird weirdos like myself. When I first set it up the birds would not come to the bath. They would fly down and immediately arc right back in the air. I waited for them to get used to it but 24 hours later ( and it was hot out) they would not use it. I gathered some rocks from my yard and placed a flat one over the cord ( which is black and comes out from under the rockโ- did they think it was a snake???!!) I also placed some other rocks around the bubbler. That was it! The birds started coming to bathe and drink like crazy! Some birds like to bath right in the bubbler (chickadees) and others like to drink directly from it. I have birds lined up on the fence and bushes to use it ( not kidding!). I had 5 different bird varieties in the bath together while I was writing this! They love it! Practical matters. I have to clean everything frequently because the amount of traffic is making it filthy! I use a stiff brush and get the gunk off the stone and bubbler. It also helps to turn the bubbler on high to clear it out while cleaning. A really great product!!!

Wonder fountain! This actually works!
I have wanted a fountain in my bird bath. I have tried many solar fountains, but they did not work well. I bought this, and I am overjoyed!!! It is F A B U L O U S! I have only had it for two days, so I can't discuss its long-term use, but it is exactly what I was hoping for. I highly recommend this!

Best Little Rock fountain Iโve bought
I am happy with this Little Rock fountain, I put it in my birdbath so birds will like to take a bath with running water and looks real, the only thing is I hate the cord showing but what can you do unless you can figure out how to hide it, right now I have it close to the wall so itโs less noticeable. The water flows great in it, let me give you a tip to be sure the water level stays high enough which the site tells you and if the water is hot, which you should check first because the water looks like foam but as soon as I emptied it and put in tipid water or cool it started flowing great, the water should never be more than warm anyway because you want the birds to enjoy it however here in Texas it gets tremendously hot, so I check the fountain after itโs been off for awhile, thanks$

Love this for my hummingbirds!
This doesn't have a tube that is listed in the instructions but it is not needed. I tested the bubbler first in the kitchen sink. I wanted it to have a small bubble, perhaps an inch high above the rock cascading down and that was achieved at the lowest setting. This is a great bubbler for the humming birds to be able to use in our bird bath. I added a few river rocks around the granite bubbler. Now larger birds and hummingbirds will be able to use our bird bath. I showed the bottom of the bubbler so you can see how I placed the power cord. The bubbler stays level on the bottom of the bird bath. I poured water into the bubbler hole which primed it as I filled the bird bath and plugged it in. It makes a little bit of a hum but not loud, while making the video I was standing about 2 feet from the bubbler so you can get an idea of the sound it makes. I mostly hear the birds and none of the hummingbirds were scared of the sound of the pump. I really love this addition to my bird bath!

Loud and over priced.
Very loud, very expensive for what you get! This is a small, sturdy bubbler that functions fine but wow it is loud! And very small. I thought it would be much larger for the price. I returned this and bought a $15 Hygger fish tank bubbler which does the job and is practically silent and works great in my bird bath.

Lovely!
It took quite a while to get to me, but I loved it from the start. Took a few days for the birds to get over their (quite comical) surprise at seeing moving water in the bath. Silent motor, fitted perfectly with concrete bath and (real) granit rock I had put in. *Edit* So...over a year later... The new fountain I got worked really well last summer and still works really well. Last summer I disamantled and cleaned it a few times (remove the front grid, then the wheel etc) to prevent any issue but this summer... I was too busy. I would change the water every 5-7 days and that's it. It's Sept 2nd and it's still going strong! :) *Original review* However, today, 2 weeks after it was installed, it stopped working. I tried unplugging, plugging. I washed thoroughly the device, put it in a container with water to test it, plugged it... I could feel a vibration...so the motor hadn't burnt out. I was ready to write a sad review when I read a review from someone else who had had a similar model for 6 years. He wrote that sometimes the motor would seize up but all you needed to do was help the wheel back in motion with the use of a tooth pick. Well, the tooth pick didnt work, but a chopstick did... The pump was working again. So, OK, perhaps a 3 stars then, if I have to do that every 2 weeks... I put the pump back in the bath, turn it on - hurray! Works like a charm. I get back inside to get my phone so I can take a picture/video of my lil fountain - because I hadn't taken any yet - to add to my 3 star review.... But by the time I got back out, the pump had seized again. I felt defeated. I really liked that lil fountain. I'm debating whether I should ask for a replacement or a refund...

Perfect
It is the perfect size for a small backyard . The birds at long last have found it and not only drinking from it but I caught a couple bathing. Keep water levels fairly high so it bubbles more from the top and buy a timer and you can't go wrong.

Very Nice Feature for a Bird Bath
Pretty good product. Appears to be of good quality. Works nice in my bird bath. Only downside is the filter that comes with this. No clear instructions on how to insert the filter or whether it should be cut into smaller pieces to fit inside the pump. Used pebbles in my bird bath around the waterfall to filter debris that gets in the water. Looks natural and birds are attracted to the bubbling water. Worth the money.

Terrible pump
This product does not do what it says. Owned for one week and does not pump water to the waterfall opening. My birdbath is plenty deep enough. There are terrible instructions and no tube to connect the pump to the top of the waterfall. Do not buy. All noise no action.
