Great, super bright heel lights for nighttime runners!
The media could not be loaded. Β These spur lights are great and a must if you run at night or low light conditions. They hold extremely tight, are light weight, and weather proof. I have put a lot of road miles with these lights attached to my shoes and never once have they came close to falling off. They are so light weight that I can't even feel them while I am running. I've also ran in the rain and through puddles without any issues. The lights are super bright. My wife can see me running several blocks away from home when I have them activated a night. I think of them as my tail lights for traffic approaching you from behind. The lights have little teeth on the inside of the light that grip the rear heel of your shoe and hold like glue. In fact, it's pretty tough getting them back off once you have them on. Like I said, they hold like glue in place and never move, so you won't have any damage to your shoes. To activate the light, there is a button on the side. One push gives you a steady light, two pushes give you a flashing light, and if you hold the button the light shuts off. The packaging states that the steady light will give you 20+ hours of battery life and the flashing light gives you 40+ hours of battery life. The packaging also states that the lights are 4 Lumens, are weather resistant (which I've proved already) and are Ragnar approved.I purchased a both versions, a red light and a green light to give me contrasting colors to add visibility to approaching motorists. Like I said before, these lights are a must for nighttime runs.

Product is not bad, customer service needs to be better
The product is Highly visable at night and makes me feel more secure about being seen. However, there are a few problems with the system. First, the price is a little steep at $20 for 1 (one) spur! although with the way they seem to break and fall off, maybe the ability to buy 1 isn't such a bad thing. Of the first set I had, I lost one within about 2 months. Prior to that they had stuck well and I made it a point to make sure they were secure before every run. I have 5 or 10mile routes that I run every day, and never had an issue witht them. They were comfortablely snug. This was all fine until about a month ago, when I discovered that the one that I had purchased to replace the lost/last one - was now non functional, it would work fine until I stretched it around the back of my shoe, and then it would not light up at all. (I'm a size 7B) I called the company to check about a return and never recieved a call back, even though the package states that they are 100% guaranteed. So now I wonder if I should buy another one?? With winter coming with less and less daylight to go around, I suspect that every running day will be at least in part darkness. But I need to depend on my tech/gear.Bottom line: If the customer service were better, I would not hesitate to recommend this product. As it stands I will probably order another one for now and start reasearching better options. #1 - ($20) lost, #2 - ($20)not functional/can't return?? #3 - ($20): still holding on.

Love the idea, worked while functioning, died in 4 mo...
I bought this in September. Since then I used it couple of times in last 4 mo.Now, this stopped turning on.I don't think it's the battery, it is way too soon for that.Of course, I made sure it turned off after the use. Otherwise, you will know (it flashes pretty vigorously)I'm disappointed that now I can't even return this...I do like the idea and I was going to use it for long time but now it is just sitting there...Update: 2/8/18I called Nathan Support.I was told to replace the battery. Why? The retail (Amazon) had this in stock for a while and the juice ran out.I was hesitant but did go and replace the batteries. Now it works!I hope that they sell it with battery detached so this would not happen.I see many others complaining about the similar situation and I think it got to do with already-drained batteries.Anyway, I like the product itself so now I give it 4 stars.

Living the Good Life in NE
I saw this blinking red light on another runner heading towards me from a long distance away in the early dark. I made up my mind right then that I wanted the same thing because her visibility was remarkable and it made me realize that safety and visibility makes a difference. So onto Amazon I went and studied the reviews and placed my order as I wanted to wear it for next Saturdays early morning trail run in the dark. You cant imagine how dissapointed I was when I looked down after 5 min. into the run to realize the thing fell off my shoe-just like others forwarned. I retrieved it and stuck it in my pocket and mulled over what to do next. Came up with the duck tape solution. I bought bright pink duck tape and secure it on any running shoe with about a 2" strip stuck on any of my 3 pairs of shoes I rotate. I now have the extra security it will always be there no matter what. Im willing to look pretty dorky with duck tape but thats how much I want this blinking spur.

Great product for running at night
Pros: Tight gripsuper bright lightlightweightwaterprooftwo modes of operation (steady and blink)Cons:grip spikes may put dents/scratches in your shoe materialuses a watch battery (might be hard to find at a store)I wore this for the first time last night (after a rainstorm), and was impressed with the brightness and visibility of such a small device. In fact, the light is so bright, it creates a glow on the ground around your foot strike area; about a 6" radius. The tension was such that it 'clipped' firmly onto the back heel (onto the heel counter, just above the mid-sole) of my running shoe. It was an effort to bend the spur out so it would fit on my heel, so I'm surprised that some reviewers reported it falling off. The little spikes on the inside of the spur are sharp, and actually bite into the shoe, so mine stayed put for the 5-miles test run I went on. Perhaps show size matters (I wear a 15). I'm not sure about battery life, since I just got it, but it says 100+ hours which isn't bad. I hit some water during the run, and a light rain, with no issues...so waterproof was good. The only questions I would have are battery life, and if the tight tension remains after continued use.

Exactly what I wanted

Dropped off and lost on its second run out.
As per the headline, the spur was attached to footwear - Adidas Glide Boost - plenty of soft material for it to grip to... I'm not an overly heavy footed runner, but the device was lost between 5 & 10km on its second outing.Perhaps a secondary attachment would be appropriate.

Great for winter running
These are really superb - not cheap but worth the money. They grip well - there's no chance of them falling off (although I do have size 11 trainers which may help) and they really stand out. I run 3 - 4 times a week (always in the dark in the winter) and they are both bright and very noticeable which is what you want. Definitely recommended.

The product itself is quite good quality. The only thing I would advised is ...
i bought two of thesebefore putting them on they look quite slick and exceptional and the light is quite bright.one fell off whilst running on my first run and I didn't find it despite re tracing my steps. The product itself is quite good quality. The only thing I would advised is to have an additional measure 'Velcro tape' or some sort of tie strap to make sure if it does slip off you don't lose itQuite a good ideaThe customer service from FLOODIES was nothing short of excellent. Its a company I would happily endorse and do business with in the future.Hence the 5 stars

Should be in every runner's kit bag - Brilliant bit of kit
You absolutely need one of these bad boys. It fits beautifully on to my UK size 4's and equally on to my husband's size 11's.I always use it in flashing mode. I've been stopped by other runners to ask where I got it from - great product.
