OH YEAH!
I dont normally give things 5 stars but this thing is nice! Specially for the price! Got it to replace my old one that lasted no more than a year and wasn't as high pixels. Made by a different company. The quality of video is very clear. Wider lens than my last one. The home screen is just nicer to look at than my last one. I have a long bed service truck and the I still had to loop up the cable and tuck it away. Definitely gives you plenty to work with. Has good amount of options in the menu to fine tune it to your needs. Will update my review on longevity after a couple months. But so far I'm very impressed Customer service was phenomenal!!! The screen unfortunately broke after two weeks. They shipped me out a new set over night. I just took the screen sent all the other stuff back in original. Thanks guys love this product very happy with purchase.

Good Purposeful Camera
For the price, not bad. 1080p is fine to capture an incident, but not for reading plates. Should you pay more for better quality images? Not really. This one will do. Night vision is where a 2.4k or above image resolution will make a difference. But again, it's the incident that counts. To avoid experiencing the negative reviews, some suggestions to make the install quick and easy and a better user experience: 1. Make sure everything is in the box. 2. Before install, connect all parts FIRST, plug them in, and make sure the cameras work and the images are clear and ALL functions work. 3. PLAN your install before you start. Figure out where and how your wires will be placed. The hardest part will be the rear camera cable placement. If you don't know where the passthrough is to the rear on your vehicle, search the internet. 4. Rear camera placement: If you don't want to mount the camera out by the license plate, mount it inside the rear window. Mount up near the roof for a better view out and down. That way, no need to connect the red backup wire and it is easier to tuck the cable in the headliner. 5. Rear camera placement outside: Mount the camera to the RIGHT of the license plate. Not the left or center. The camera's field of view is biased to the left. If you connect the red backup wire, you must adjust on the screen how the view looks when put in reverse. The guidelines are useless if the camera is mounted higher than the bumper. 6. Clean your camera lenses when finished with the install. You WILL smear them. 7. Go into Settings and make adjustments to fit your requirements. Date, time, resolution, etc. Glare issues. This is a mirror first. When adjusting, treat it as a regular reflecting mirror. The streaming video is secondary. You cannot see both at the same time. You have the option of turning off the video streaming and still record. Says so in the manual. Or, if you want to view streaming video mode only, tilt the entire mirror down to show only the video streaming screen and not the reflecting surface. Most of the negative reviews I've seen could have been avoided using the steps indicated. Quality control issues can also happen with more expensive units. This one is a bargain. My $230 cam died after 2 months, taking another month for a replacement to arrive.

Does not work properly.
Im changing my review because if I could give this zero stars I would. With all the stuff I said below about this camera, when I needed it most, it failed me. I had a car accident tonight and it was recording, however be the time I went to the emergency room and came back to my car to check the video it had a card read error and on my attempt to playback, it says No File. Do NOT BUY THIS CAMERA! ITS A WASTE OF MONEY! WHAT I MAY HAVE NEEDED AS PROOF, IS NOW NO LONGER AVAILABLE!!!!! I just want to say. I absolutely love that this camera has a really good clear picture/video and is so sturdy. I never got the back camera installed because I realized after a day or so that the front camera is thick in body and does not sit flush against the mirror. Therefore, it doesn't tilt far enough to see the road without you having to tilt the entire camera up. Then if the rear cam is not installed, you can't see your rear view in the front when the screen times out. I had to keep fighting with it. Until I finally just gave up and decided to return it. Easy to install great picture/video sturdy Overall, a really great dashcam just not for my car (Nissan Rogue SV). I'm gonna give it 5 stars because it may be perfect for other cars.

Very pleased with this product
To be clear, I paid only $50 for this very, very good 10'' Mirror Dash Cam. It was actually 50% off, so my review will consider that I did not purchase an Apple Laptop. It is important to understand that the touch screen is shaped as a rear-view mirror. It is placed on top of your existing mirror, so you will use the screen to view what it behind you and NOT your mirror (you still have the two side mirrors). The positive side is that you get a lot wider view of what is behind. The definition, both day and night, is excellent. You can adjust the brightness and can tell the camera to activate night vision. The camera has many good features. The one I like best is, when properly installed and when you enter the car in reverse, it shows the green, yellow, and red lines to guide you. I have NOT tried the recording feature, but for what I read it is a very good feature. You will need to purchase a good quality and fast SD card. The instructions are NOT the best, but you still can manage to install the cam. Don't expect to be an easy job as they claim. If you own a SUV, you are for a lot of difficulties. They recommend that you install the camera on or above the license plate and run the wire inside to the trunk of your car. Well, most SUV's have the license plates on the back door, so you need to remove the panel of the door to be able move the cord. Some SUV's have the backup light on the door and others not. For the parking assist guides, you need to attach a provided cord to the light. The frosted protective film on the mirror screen works great (you need to install it), but it reduces the clarity. I was wearing dark sunglasses and had to replace them by others with less darkness. When I decide to add the SD card to the cam, I will update this review.

Get what you pay for..
First let me say, I am rating this against a much better quality one of these that I bought several years ago for my other car. I bought this for my old daily driver car after tinting the window made it too difficult to see behind at night. Installation was simple however the instructions were very simplified and explained very little in regard to technical features. I ruined the first one because nowhere in the instructions did it list the operating voltage. I wired it direct to the 12VDC in the car rather than using the cigarette lighter plug. the unit runs on 5VDC and the lighter plug apparently has a transformer in it to step down the voltage. They replaced the unit however for free. the main complaint I have is the image quality. When you first turn on the car, there is a glaring white 'splash screen' that destroys any night vision you might have. It also took me a while to figure out all the settings as it was turning off all by itself after a minute (default setting from the factory). the other issue is that the camera seems to be very sensitive to steam from the exhaust and once it clouds over, stays that way for some time (my other car unit clears almost immediately). I assume this is from a lack of coating on the lense. Also, the screen inside the car must also not have a coating as it reflects images around the car so much that it is almost impossible to see what the screen is displaying because of the reflective glare and you have to move the mirror mount around to minimize this. The bars that assist you in backing up do not appear to have much adjustment. There is an alignment adjustment but I cannot find any way to widen or narrow the track or any way to move the actual bars either (Nothing in the manual to explain this). Last, the view at night especially flares out when a car with headlights on is behind you. In fact the glare is so bad you cannot see the car at all, just a white star of light. I have also not found any sort of zoom feature either. Might be there, but nothing in the manual to explain it if it is. In short, if you want a low-cost rear view mirror/backup camera, this will do ok but if you want something that gives a good image and doesn't blind you on startup, shop elsewhere.

Works Great!
Works great. You can easily replace the existing mirror but I mounted mine over the existing only because I needed to keep the garage opener buttons. I also mounted my rear/reverse camera way higher than recommended only because I mainly need the rear camera to monitor my trailer while towing [i still have the original backup camera]. Now I gotta buy one more for my other vehicle which doesn't have a backup camera.
