Insightful
This book was extremely informative. It makes suffering as a Christian make sense. I would highly recommend to any Catholic looking to understand suffering and how it relates biblically. This book at times can be a slight bit challenging to read. But well worth it.

The answers to the mystery of suffering
I was in search of the answers to suffering. I’m afraid I viewed suffering as a punishment until I read this book, which has now led me to more studies and spiritual growth. I can now thank God for this sacred gift to bear.

Mystery of suffering
Interesting Catholic perspective book on the meaning and gift of suffering, good book for someone going through difficult times. A slim book but a good read.

Important
Another great book by the same great spiritual writer. This one is about Divine Providence and where suffering fits in with this. How we are called to praise God "always and everywhere", and not just in good times or when things go as we frail folk like it. As Christ took our sins and atoned for them, so He also took our sorrows and sanctified them. Are we wasting a perfect opportunity to join in with Christ and suffer for love's sake? Are we failing to see how our low moments can actually be turned into moments of thanksgiving and learning? Is God trying to teach us something in perfection and virtue? Good times and bad times, like Job, are times for us to give glory and thanks. Lots of examples from St Paul, and other Saints. A very easy read, and not too long to cover. Perfect if you want to understand more about surrendering yourself to God's will and letting go of self in order to live a fuller happier Christian life. Geared towards Catholics of course, but I feel any Christian could benefit from this.
