Can the face flap be removed individually leaving just the side and back flaps?

yes the flap can, the flaps are light weight and snap in place, I use mine often mowing grass!

Is this made in China?

My hat has a tag that says it was made in China.

I just received the hat today and I sprayed it with isopropyl alcohol to sterilize it. Now I'm wondering if it'll still have the sunblock protection

I think it will still be ok concerning sunblock because it has 3 flaps that totally block the Sun plus the wide brim circling the head. I dont think alcohol will affect or weaken the material at all. It'd probably be equivalent to getting it wet from rain/etc and drying right back out.
