I Have used this Particular Shampoo for several years and I’m Extremely Disappointed this Specific shampoo is not available any longer! This John Frieda Midnight Brunette Color Deepening Shampoo is Amazing and I’ve always Loved the Subtle Tint it adds to my naturally Graying Brunette Fine Hair without losing natural volume. The suggested Brilliant Brunette Shampoo Doesn’t Compare at all resulting in lighter tones rather than the warm Rich Darker Tones. Please Bring Back!!!

Absolutely love this shampoo. I have a ton of hair, and this makes it looks really amazing. It brings out all the different shades and makes it looks super healthy. It doesn't cover grays, exactly, but it does make them less noticeable in my dark brown hair. I use this every time I wash my hair.

I really like John Frieda products and there are a few of them that I use on a daily basis (Frizz Ease Serum and Secret Weapon Finishing Crème). I used to be a HUGE fan of the brunette Color Glaze, but I am pretty sure they changed the formula on that. Now whenever I use it instead of that instant "root touch up" effect and all over shine boost that I really needed, I end up with my bangs and roots looking greasy wherever the product is. I still use it the same way and use it just as well, so I don't know why it doesn't work as well. All I can think is that they changed the formula, which is very disappointing. Anyway, I was looking for a product that might help in the same way, even if I had to use it daily. So I decided to try this and its companion conditioner. I'm not necessarily sure that it is filling in any areas of fading color - it may be extending the color some in areas where the color is already holding strong, but it does clean my hair really well and the scent is just amazing. It smells like some sort of brown sugar confection - only way I can think to describe it. Normally I wouldn't think I'd want my hair to smell like anything bakery-oriented, but this smell is just intoxicating. And my hair does look nice after using also. Now, if only it would help extend the color on my roots or fill them in a tad when they begin to fade, I could give this product 5+ stars...

I have always loved John Frieda color/blonde shampoos & conditioners! Not only do they always smell divine, but the formulas just work for my hair and scalp chemistry. They always leave my hair silky soft, light & clean, enhanced shine, and never leaves any product buildup. Rather than reordering the Brilliant Brunette combo, I decided to try this Midnight Brunette combo. THIS MIGHT JUST BE MY FAVORITE SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER EVER!!! As usual, it smells DIVINE!!! It does EXACTLY what it says (also like usual for Frieda products). It boosts every strand to the richest and shiniest brunette imaginable. If Frieda products work well for you, THIS IS A MUST!!! I will continue to use the Brilliant Brunette combo for 2-3 washes, then use the Midnight Brunette on the next for a luscious boost.

What happened to this product? No other ‘brunette’ products made by John Frieda work the same!

The positives of this product are these: your hair feels clean and shiny, the price point is good, and the scent was good. What I THOUGHT I was getting with this product was an alternative to hair dye, but it actually just “tinted the grey hair.” It wasn’t what I was looking for, but if you wanted more of a tiny than a dye this would be your product.

Love this shampoo. I get compliments on my hair. Good value for the money.

This and the matching Brilliant Brunette conditioner did not work for coloring grays or enhancing my natural brown hair. It also smells like boxed hair dye and stinks. The product itself and seller would get zero stars if that was possible. I tried returning it after one use thru Amazon and was forced to try to return it to the seller directly. Was not able to get this and the conditioner returned. I used it up as fast as I could because I hated to waste the money or put the remaining in the garbage just to end up in the landfill. However that's where this stuff needs to go... in the garbage!

Si Desde la primera aplicación deposita reflejos cobrizos, es de esperar que con el uso continuo quede genial el cabello. Rico aroma durable, deja manejable, con cuerpo y brillosa la cabellera, lamentablemente suspendí su uso, tengo cuero cabelludo muy sensible (tricodinia) que me actuó como un tinte (no es tinte) ya no uso tinte por la misma razón y es por eso recurro a este tipo de productos, pero por esa situación personal, no puedo calificar como malo el producto solo porque no sea apto para MI. califico como excelente
