Pretty good, wouldn't go back to wired or to no ANC
I've had these for nearly a month, used them a lot, and I like them. But... No, I'll save the but for end. So what's good? First, the noise cancellation. The main benefit is that you can listen at a lower volume in a noisy environment. Like a train or a car. It makes driving in the car as quiet as it must be in, say, a Bentley; although the inevitable crash damage will probably be cheaper than if you were actually driving a Bentley. So, yes to train and plane, but not in a car or on a bike, the noise cancelling is too good to be safe when you need to hear the world around you. Next, the bluetooth is great. It works for me at least through a couple of brick walls, and the danger isn't losing the buds, it's forgetting where the phone is. I guess that's a downside of true wireless. Thirdly, the sound quality is fine. I've never been golden eared, but it almost betters the best wired earbuds I've used. Without the irritating noises off, too. Next, and maybe it should have been first, the setting up is great. The Jabra App listens in to what your ears are doing and recommends the best set of tips - at first I doubted it, but after swapping for a few days, I know it got it right: the buds have never yet fallen from my ears, and are comfortable to wear for hours. Speaking of hours, I've had no issues with battery life, so for me, at least, there's enough in the buds for a decent journey and back, and the battery in the case means I don't need to plug into a charger more than a couple of times a week. Impressively, the app takes you through a neat hearing test, to reveal the deterioration of the years and maybe even improve what you hear - the little graphic is rather cruel! But you only do it once, or maybe once a year, so it's a small price to pay for the listening pleasure. And now, that but. Nope, I've deleted the but - problem fixed with the aid of Google.

Easily the best in ear headphones I’ve used
When it comes to headphones there is a distinct balance between paying for premium quality and just getting something cheap. Yet it’s amazing that even some people of the more costlier options leave a lot to be desired. I’d put the Jabra Elite 7 Pro certainty in the more expensive side but in my opinion you are getting a excellent sounding product. I’d previously associated Jabra with those pretty ugly early bluetooth headsets. They weren’t for me but you’d see a lot of them so they clearly know a lot about headphones. And these do not disappoint. Not only are they the most compact in ear buds I’ve had but they also the best quality. I like that they don’t stick out of your ear like the Apple AirPods. They’re discreet and extremely comfortable. There are 4 options in the box to get the perfect fit. So sound quality in general is exceptional. Both for music and calls including everyone’s favourite TEAMs calls. I’ve not messed about with the equaliser but there are further options to tweak the sound to suit your personal taste. This is all buried in a pretty neat app. The case is compact which is a plus. Wireless charging would’ve been nice so that’s probably the only mark down from me. Battery life appears excellent. I’ve not had to recharge them yet so so far so good. Noise cancelling is as good as I’ve heard from in ear buds and the head through option amplifies the surrounding sound brilliantly. Highly recommend.

High quality feature rich headphones with with great sounds and mic - shame about the ANC
I normally only lower wireless earbuds due to fear of losing them but have grown frustrated with numerous budget models due to poor microphone performance (for video calls at work), poor battery, so decided to splash out the best that Jabra has to offer. So far, they have been an absolute delight offering a comfortable fit, excellent sound, long battery life, and lots of genuinely useful features only found on the premium models such as multipoint ability, a decent adjustable EQ (to enhance the already excellent sound quality), a useful app offering easy sound mode switching, and in ear detection, so they automatically pause and resume music when taking them out and in. Co-workers have commented how much better I sound on calls, and the 'sidetone' feature which allows you to hear your own voice avoids the annoying talking too loud problem of conversations when using earphones. The multipoint has been a godsend allowing me to connect to both my work PC and my phone at the same time and effortless swap between the two. They have been brilliant at the gym too, and they have yet to fall out (despite trying) during vigorous HIIT sessions. Their lightweight and good fit helps with this I’m sure. Knowing they have an high IP rating means I’m not worried about them getting drenched in sweat. The wireless charging has been brilliant and has allowed me to top up the battery reserve sharing from my phone when caught away from a charging point on a long trip away. The only downsides have been the long process for the firmware upgrade, but this was only on the initial setup, and the fact that the ANC is fairly ineffectual and is not a patch on the noise cancellation on my larger headphone cans. The passive noise isolation from fit is good, however. I would rate them 4.5 / 5 if i had the option. Either way, they are leaps and bounds better than my previous cheaper models, and I won't be going back!

Brilliant foot commuters or light exercise
I bought these for the noise cancellation and in a word they cancel noise brilliantly. I use them on a bus commute and also walking through a city centre, they block out a lot of noise. On a bus, even sitting at the back over the engine, with people talking etc the noise reduction makes it go away to such a low level that you can have music on low and still not hear much external noise. You will still hear some noise, I can still hear a low bass rumble of the bus engine for example when on buses but only slightly. If you want to hear for yourself just how well they do that in comparison to other brands equivalents you can buy on Amazon like Bose or Sony etc there is a YouTube channel that has a video showing the noise cancelling ability of these in various situations, a YouTube search for "DHRME anc sound samples" will find you that video, probably much better than just reading descriptions. Sound wise they sound great, you can change the way they sound with the Jabra app that let's you set up a graphic equaliser to make them sound how you want them to, or choose from some presets. How they fit is something lots of reviews comment on. I haven't had them fall out even when I had my head upside down while doing a repair on something but I don't think I would trust them not to fall out while running or cycling. Some have done that and say they are fine but while I have never had them fall out even when I tried to make them fall out, they do still feel like they could fall out easily. That perhaps sounds like a contradiction, but I can say they do stay in while walking, being on a bumpy bus ride or vigorously dancing about. They feel well made and definitely feel like a premium set of earbuds, the charging case is surprisingly small but easy to fit in a pocket even with a phone in the same pocket so are easy to carry around. The controls on the earbuds can be customised to what you prefer them to do such as swapping between noise cancelling on or off, playing a different track, etc and the case will charge by USB c lead or by wireless qi charging so that's also a plus. I've used these for about three hours non stop in one go with noise cancelling on and they didn't get close to being at low battery level so battery life is good and they have a nice physical button on each bud not a touch sensitive sensor so you don't accidentally set them doing something while putting them in your ears. They also automatically pause music or videos when a bud is removed from an ear, although you can turn this feature off using the Jabra app. Speaking of the app, its very useful so if you get these earbuds consider using the app too. Its free and allows a lot of customisation to the earbuds as well as allowing firmware updates, product registration (you get a two year warranty against water and dust if you register for it using the app) and of course the graphic equaliser. It also tells you the level of charge in the case and in each earbud, so is a good thing to use. And if you want the noise cancelling but don't want to watch a video or listen to music the app has soundscapes like a thunderstorm or white noise and a few others to listen to instead. Sometimes the app doesn't find the earbuds as soon as you put them in (the earbuds still work fine without it and your programmed button options and equaliser and noise cancelling still work) but if you want the app to find them quicker (for the soundscapes or to check battery levels for example) just turn your phones Bluetooth on and then open the app before putting the earbuds in. Overall a very good set of earbuds that are great for commuting or being in noisy environments. Edit: I bought the Comply brand tips for these and they make them fit much better. If you have a problem with them feeling loose these tips should help.

Decent for music, unusable for gaming, flaky for communication
Lasted 2.5 years then the left earbud died for no apparent reason. Good: - The sound is decent, music is enjoyable. The treble is nice and crisp. - The mobile app offers a lot of customisation options. - Comfy fit. Can use in gym. - Connects to multiple devices simultaneously (eg phone + PC) Bad: - People often complained they cannot hear me well on phone calls - Unsatisfying bass. Once I got used to it, I did not miss it that much, but initially it was very noticable. - Cannot adjust noise cancellation settings while on a call - so if you happened to leave it on hear-through and receive a call, you'll have to finish the call using hear-through, impossible to set it to noise cancellation (or turn noise cancellation/hear-through OFF) - It has two different ways of operation: low sound quality with mic on (called 'hands-free ag audio'), and higher sound quality without mic (called 'stereo'). This means it is unusable for gaming with mic on, as the sound will be oldschool phone quality - The two operational modes are visible (at least to Windows) as two separate output devices, which sometimes confuses apps and when you want to use video conferencing your mic won't work, people won't hear you and it takes a while to get these apps to switch to the 'hands-free' output - The switch between devices (eg phone - PC) is not seamless, so you will miss some of the sound (about 2-3 seconds). Also, the switch will happen even if you are actively using a device and another one starts playing sound (eg on a conference and your phone starts to make some sound). In this case you'll suddenly lose the sound on the conference which is obviously not what you'd want. - Sometimes the earbuds won't connect to each other, and you only get sound on one of them for an extended amount of time (10+ seconds), or they won't connect at all. Your only option then is to put the buds back in the case and connect again. It has also happened to me that the buds wouldn't get out of this half-state and never connected again, so I had to do a reset. Overall, I would not buy again and I'd recommend others to look for alternatives.

Poor fit in ear, doesn't connect to iOS sound+ app, poor customer care
I got the Elite 65T active when it was first released a few years ago and it was a near perfect, and brilliant earbud . So I was really looking forward to trying the Elite 85T, with it's advertised better ear fit, lighter weight and ANC. I was disappointed about it not being as water proof as the Elite 65T active, but assume the active version of the Elite 85T will have better IP rating whenever it is released. The titanium black version looks great and comes with a wireless charging case. The ear buds come fitted with medium silicon tips. I had to change to the large tips to get a good enough fit. The silicone tips are oval than round. Their fit was much poorer compared to the fit of tips on the Elite 65T active. I could not get the ear buds to stay in my ear properly and they always felt like they were about to fall out. I went for a jog and one ear bud did fall out. The buds always seem like a sudden move of the head would make them pop out. Very disappointed with this. While I could get the earbuds to connect via bluetooth to my iPhone 11 Pro. I was unable to get the Jabre Sound+ app to recognise the earbuds. This meant I could not make any of the changes to the controls of my earbuds, adjust the noise cancellation or hear through setting or any other of the functions accessible on via the app. The sound quality of the earbuds are great, and what you would expect for a device at this price range. However, the fit of the earbuds, and the fact it sticks out a lot more than the earlier Elite 65T model when worn makes it loose stars from me. One of the best features of the Jabra earbud range is that you can connect to 2 devices at the same time. This is still present on the Elite 85T and allows easy switching between multiple devices, so I can join a Zoom call on my computer and afterwards continue listing to music on my phone, without having to switch devices that the earbud is connected to. The call quality appear to be good as I have had no complaints about not being heard when using them to make calls. I also hear the callers really clearly. You are meant to be able to adjust how loud your voice is when you are in calls via the app, but again could not use this function. I am ultimately very disappointed with the product and can't recommend the device (especially not at this price range). I have had a series of contact with customer care and they have concluded my headset is defective. I have had to fill out some documents and returned to the manufacturer for a replacement. It's been nearly a month and I have still not had my replacement earbuds. So more than £200 spent on headsets, used for a week and waiting nearly 4 weeks for a replacement. Overall, not happy at all with the purchase or my experience with Jabra.

Jabra Elite 85T - The ones with actual adjustable ANC
Going back to an open-space office where everyone is still on Teams calls after 2 years of working from home has been challenging, making ANC headphones necessary. Disappointed with the terrible and unreliable experience of using my AirPods Pro on Windows for Microsoft's Teams calls, I sought to find some decent sounding wireless active noise-cancelling headphones with cross-platform Bluetooth multipoint support. I finally settled on the Jabra Elite 85Ts because of their superior balanced sound, semi-open ear design with all-day comfort, and seamless wireless access for music, videos and calls with adjustable ANC across ALL of my devices (iOS, Windows and macOS). Having tried the Elite 75T, Elite 85T and the Elite 7 Pro, for my ears, the 85Ts are louder, and the soundstage is more expansive, refined, and balanced. The 85Ts offer punchy, lusciously deep bass without needing the volume all the way up. With the 85Ts, I can hear bits of songs that I cannot on the Elite 75T and Elite 7 Pro. A good example is Billy Eilish's "Bad Guy" -- her whispers and sighs can be heard all around my head and are goosebump-inducing. Both the Elite 75T and 7 Pro supposedly have ANC on board. If they do, it's hardly noticeable where on the Elite 85Ts, it is. If I go into the Sound+ app and adjust it, I can immediately hear it reflected in my ears. Not as good as AirPods Pro, but close. It's almost like on the Elite 75t, and Elite 7 Pro that ANC was an afterthought supposedly addressed with a firmware change ... oh wait :) The other thing I like about the Elite 85t is the semi-open ear design which reduces the clogged/pressurised feeling you get from the 75T and 7 Pro. This seal is required to achieve volume and bass; without it you get a weak tinny sound. In the 85Ts, this is achieved with larger drivers, while outside noise is blocked via actual ANC. Less suction required! Similar to the AirPods Pro, this semi-open ear design allows me to wear the 85Ts comfortably for several hours without taking them out. It's also nice to walk around and breathe without hearing it reverberate in my head! In addition, the Sidetone feature, which is customisable from the Sound+ app, is also very effective. I can hear myself speak when I'm on calls and don’t feel like I’m in a well. Multipoint or "handoff" is something I've enjoyed across my Apple devices but never cross-OS between Apple and Windows until now. Multipoint functionality allows me to seamlessly switch between two devices, in my case, an iPhone and a Windows PC. For example, listening to music or taking calls on my iPhone. As soon as a Teams call comes in on my laptop, I pause the music and immediately pick it up on the PC. No disconnecting and reconnecting is required. It works really well. To complete the seamless experience, do yourself a favour and invest in the Jabra Link 370/380 adapter, making the process even better by maintaining crystal clear audio and functionality. You can use the buttons on the earbuds to control medial playback, volume and answer/hangup, and mute/unmute Team calls on your laptop. Totally worth it. I wanted the newer, smaller, sleeker Elite 7 Pros with longer battery life to offer superior sound over the slightly older 85T's, but they don't for my ears. The Jabra Elite 85ts reign supreme and even sound better than my AirPods Pro for many songs.

Great quality earbuds but at a premium price
These earbuds come in a lovely little case that doubles as a charging unit. The lid is very secure so is not likely to lose your earbuds when travelling. it comes with three sizes of flexible plastic ear gels which fit over the bit that goes in your ear (very technical) so that you will have a super fit for anyone's head. There are three modes that the buds operate in 1) ANC which is noise cancelling. This is very effective for deep noises such as buses and airliners but will not cut out the radio or chatting nearby much. 2) Hear through. this allows you to disable the ANC if you wish to converse with a friend or safely hear everything if you are crossing a busy road. 3) Off It took me a while to remember all the controls on the unit as both left and right earbuds will respond to click, double click, triple-click and press and hold so there is a lot to learn. I was disappointed that I couldn't change the mode during the middle of a call but that's a minor gripe. The sound quality is excellent and every bit as good as a high-end over-ears headset. The bass notes are deep and resonant and the treble notes crisp and sharp. I'm no audio expert but it made my favourite music come to life in a way that my previous earbuds did not. I use them for listening to music when running around the park in the morning and also listening to music whilst working during the working day. In summary, after a little adjustment and learning, I am loving my new Jabra 85t earbuds and would definitely recommend them to anyone.
