Impressed! Super-Fast, Consistent Connection - Reliable, Whole-Home Coverage with No DeadZones!!!
High quality, does exactly what it claims to do. I am impressed! Get this, you will not be disappointed. Quick, easy setup...it is super-fast, simple, and delivers on a whole-home experience. For us, our coverage spreads across a 2-story home with reliable, steady coverage of 2000+ SF (square feet) across all ends of the home, upstairs and downstairs. Consistent connectivity with no deadzones! We haven't tried through the furthest point of the backyard yet...or around the peripheral areas of our home. It easily covers up to 2500 SF. This WiFi router is dual band, has a great interface (1 Gigabit ports and a USB for thumb-drive file sharing), the wireless data rates are high (300 mbps + 867 mbps) and the frequency per second is high. All of those mixed together combine for a recipe of speed and reliability! I read a review that downgraded the rating because she said she ordered Model AC10U, which is an upgrade, and got "AC1200 MU-MIMO Dual Band Gigabit WiFi Router". They are synonymous, one and the same...READ the front of the box and the product write-up on Amazon!!! I included 2 pix, front and back for reference. The reviewer also said her ISP tech told her the "AC1200" was an inferior product to the "AC10U". Not true! They are one and the same. I do admit it can be confusing...don't know why the 2 types of model numbers are on the product. As the buyer, we do have a responsibility to READ...don't expect everything to be spoon-fed to you...especially on tech which is constantly changing to meet changing consumer needs for better, faster, reliable performance. Tenda (I wasn't familiar with the brand) did a solid job laying out the critical performance-related details and product features...simple to read and follow. My husband left this purchase up to me. I took the time to educate myself and learn because our internet needs are rigorous and high (especially since we WFH-Work-from-Home 100% of the time given the pandemic protocols, etc) and we have high standards for performance results given the work that we do and the tv entertainment and streaming that we view. I read the details of Tenda's product offering and guarantees (along with numerous other brands and models with various price-points), and I read hundreds of reviews. Then I leaned in on the best choice for our home. Ultimately though...as with all internet-related products and services...you have to give it a test-drive with YOUR unique setup and circumstances for the usage and performance YOU need at YOUR home...including YOUR modem...it is absolutely critical to pair the WiFi router with a compatible modem that has the right high-speed, bandwidth, download speeds, downstream and upstream channels. etc...as you get better flexibility when the modem is separate from your WiFi router. Overall performance considerations: YOUR ISP home location, coverage and service speed...inside YOUR home with YOUR devices, with the type of whole-home coverage you need, and the number of devices you need connected simultaneously at any given time. For us, the Tenda WiFi router connection is strong, consistent, super-fast and reliable for the 14 devices (TVs, computers, phones, printer, iPad, Kindle, bluetooths) that we have connected 24/7 right now. At times it will be more devices. It can have up to 30 devices connected at one time for super-fast speed. Along with a 4+ STAR rating, a great interface, and a 3 year warranty, the price investment makes it an incredible "and-then-some" buy! If Tenda had a modem, I would have given it a try. I didn't see one, so I have it connected to a new Netgear CM600 high-speed cable modem (1 year warranty) and they very work well together. I happened to order at the right supply-and-demand time...saved 16%, or $8, on the new Tenda WiFi router...days later it went up. Saved 46%, or $60 on the new Netgear modem (5 days later it went up 20%, although it is still priced at a 28% savings). With the upgrade to this WiFi/Modem combo, it pays for itself on a break-even basis in less than 5 to 8 months and I save $168 to $300 each year by NOT renting the equipment (which is not as high-performing) from my ISP company. Great investment all around! I took the time to write a more detailed review...in hopes that it will help someone else trying to evaluate all of the critical details like I was "forced " to do. 😁

Surprisingly a great value and even better router
If you're looking for a reliable alternative to replace your older router or the stock wifi your default internet provider router came with, you won't be disappointed buying the tenda ac10u. It's better then most routers I've had and trust me I've spent hundreds trying to buy 3 antenna 100 dollar routers. So far connection is stable with no drop offs. I used to have to restart my old router or the one my internet provider gave me which was not good. This one is extremely fast. I was a able to bridge my modem to pass through the internet. I have 1gb fiber optic and I'm getting 800 to 1000 mb per second through Ethernet and 300 to 600 through wifi 5ghz. The 2.5 GHz tops out at 300mb. I have 5 to 10 connected devices at one time using this wifi and the 4 antennas can handle the traffic well. Best bang for your money. It's definitely worth paying around 50 dollars when it performs like a 200-300 dollar router. The setup is easy if your familiar with setting up other routers. You can even download thenda app and control everything local or through internet away. I was hesitant to buy this because some of the bad reviews but took the chance because the price and features. It almost felt to good to be true but it is. My family and I are happy using this router and glad I updated.

Affordable, easy setup, very fast, and covers all areas of the house.
This is a great router. I have a three level 2700 square foot home with a screened porch with a TV installed. I was running a 6 year old DLINK Gig router with two extenders. I switched to streaming most of my content about 8 months ago and my service to my bedroom and porch were spotty at best. I had finally decided I'm going to take the plunge and purchase a $300 mesh router setup. This router was somehow included in my search. I read the specs and decided to give it a try and I have not been disappointed. The router sits in my basement office and I'm getting 200/300MB (I was getting 20-70 MB) in the basement and first level and 80/150 MB on the second/third level ( I was getting 5MB- 30MB) in my bedroom and the porch. I use to have a blurry picture on those TVs for thr first 5-10 minutes in these areas and now the picture is clear when it's turned on. I don't have a single wifi extender attached. I also have several smart devices. I currently have actotal of 25 items attached to the router and it's working extremely well. I'm having no depredation of service on any of my devices. It's only been three days. So, I'll update my review after about a month. I can't wait to enjoy college football this Saturday on the porch with no buffering!

Improves my internet!
I was in need of a fast and cheap wireless router, now that I work from home. This one has provided me three times the speed of the old, replaced, wireless router but also a configuration that was almost effortless. Product descriptions are clear and intuitive, management tools are truly world class, with advanced firewall rules that are easy to access and change. To be honest, I did not expect such a cheap price to have so many functions. I am very satisfied with this equipment. For my needs (less than 12 devices connected at the same time), it works great. With my old router, my Chromecast, and broadcast/mirror screen had been getting problems and with this replacement, everything seems to be good. Facetime calls or any video calls are not hanging up or failing. The signal is very good, covering my whole house without any issues. I also have a good connection both inside and outside the apartment. I am very satisfied with this router and price.

Bought this as a dedicated router for using Air Link on the Oculus Quest 2 and so far it works great. Thing looks like a stealth bomber too. Definitely a great buy in my book. The 5Ghz wifi doesn't have the best range tho so if you plan on using it for Air Link be sure to stay within 15 ft of the router and have a clear line of sight if you plan on using it for Air Link.

I have an acreage and I needed another repeater or extender for the house. The main ap router-linksys 6- gives me poor wifi signals 2 rooms away from the router and I figured I would use this as a repeater. I get awesome speeds on both 2.4 and 5ghz. I have a cheap router in a shed across the yard to give me wifi around the yard and the connection speeds are great to the Ac10u repeater. It was quick and easy to setup both as an ap and easier yet as a repeater. In repeater mode choose the wisp mode for better speeds , if you choose the client-ap mode it cuts the 2.4 signal in half to the next bridge router. The 5ghz signal is the same as the signal off the main router. It maybe older tech as it's not wifi6 but as a repeater who can beat the price.

Very very disappointed in this purchase. There is a Canadian 1-800 but when I tried to call (attempted many times all with the specified open hours) the call got answered and then there was an automated "goodbye" and the phone would disconnect. I wrote to the email address indicated in the box... but after 1.5 weeks never received a response. Where to start? The wifi is okay... not great. The parental controls are not what have been indicated in the question area. You can schedule each device... BUT... there are not multiple schedules for each device. In other words if you want to give your teenager a schedule it's the same sitting the week and weekends. The app says it will notify you when something joins the system... I never got a single notification. I was looking for a parental control that would allow me the option to allow internet access but also limit the total time online (I.e. time limit versus scheduling). That does not seem possible. Although the app would tell me length of time a device was connected... if the device changed from 2.4 band to 5 band... the time starts over. Of course, I may be missing something but no one bothered to contact me after a significant length of time so back it goes.

The truth is that I am very comfortable with the purchase, it is a very good product, very good quality and price, it has very good coverage and as the packaging says, it is also very easy to install. In my second photo I show the mgbs that I have in my room, with my modem I had no coverage and only had 10 mgbs but now I have 400 to 600 mgbs with the 5Ghz network
