Great Phone
This is a great phone if you know what you are buying. They literally take longer too boot than to configure if you have telephony knowledge(VoIP) and for the price they can't be beat. These are cheap Grandstream phones, They are not high end, they will not last forever but the dollar to value ratio makes sense and definitely worth a try. They have a solid range and the batteries are not proprietary so AAA rechargeable batteries will work. My only gripe and it is petty is there is no way to configure the phonebook via the UI. Only by the endpoint or TFTP config.

Good Sip phones
Good Sip phones, works well in my setup, running on a raspberry pi. Could have a better setup like the GXP2200, but overall a great phone for the money. Battery life is good, they charge as quickly as one would expect and their range from the base is good.

Pretty Solid "Meh"
This phone is significantly cheaper than other DECT/SIP phones however its also very basic. If you're a casual home user in need of a simple SIP phone for an occasional call this might be fine, but I wouldn't purchase this if you used the phone more than a few times per week. Cons: 1) Cheap components. This phone is very light weight and you can feel the body flex when you press the keys. 2) Must add phone book entires to each handset individually 3) Speakerphone is very poor - almost unusable. I'd compare it to a speakerphone from the 90's (no where near as good as your cell phone speakerphone for example) 4) Poor range. If you put more than a few walls between you and the base callers start having a hard time hearing you. If I step outside, it stops working all together. For comparison, with my Panasonic DECT phone I can cross the street and get the mail without any issue 5) The phone itself is very, very small (50% smaller than a panasonic DECT phone) making it difficult (for me) to hold for long conversations. Pros: 1) Price. Other DECT/SIP Phones run 2x the price (or more) 2) Non-Speakerphone Audio Quality Is Fine

pretty good phone
i have 8 of these (growing to more than 5 required a second networked base). they are used in conjunction with asterisk and so far do their jobs just fine. just to satisfy possible searches, i'm using these with raspbx, which is freepbx built on top of asterisk and running on a raspberry pi. i recommend the 512MB version - the 256MB version will run the software but will eventually swap, which gets pretty ugly if swap is on your sd card. pros: * they work just as advertised. * i like the feel of the handset. * backlit display * the call button doubles as a speakerphone button - once a call is in progress, the button toggles back and forth from speakerphone to normal. * at least when new, the batteries last a LONG time - 3-4 days, i think. * (only) very basic settings can be provisioned via network * provides phone-to-phone intercom/calling across their shared base, with no need for the pbx to be involved cons: * the charging bases are very light, so are easy to knock over (or off the table) * there is no way to provision the phone book, and no way to load/save - each has its own phone book which has to be populated manually. horrible. would subtract one or two more stars if these weren't the cheapest handsets i could find. * no way to provision the handset name displayed on the handset screen - a problem when they can be carried across the office and you have 8 of them to get confused. get out your label maker ... * the ring tones are cheesy and annoying

They also did not warn when charge went bad, so on a call and it dies
I'm an IT guy and it wasn't seamless to setup. Phones are cheep, flimsy, and do not hold a charge. They also did not warn when charge went bad, so on a call and it dies. Not good!

It's OK if you are receiving few calls or this is a backup/secondary phone.
It's OK if you are receiving few calls or this is a backup/secondary phone. Best bang for the buck. Pros; Price, Range(it's great), weight, easy to setup. Cons; ugly ring tones, you can't understand what's blinking in the display, ring groups does not ring all the handsets, Takes 1 or 2 second to ring after a calls come in Very hard to operate while in call to transfer Nearly impossible to register to which base station if you have multiple 715s and 710s I'd still recommend to those in small offices and home users.

Inexpensive SIP phone - used with FreePBX
I was able to blindly set these up (dp715 & dp710) with an existing FreePBX installation. The SIP registration was dead simple - just make sure to save settings on each page before navigating away to another section of the web config for the dp715. Then make sure your passwords and extensions match the FreePBX configured settings. This Expansion Handset was very easy to pair with the base station. Phone quality is ok, I wouldn't suggest dropping it, although it is very light and powered by 2 rechargeable AAAs. Sound quality seems ok too.

Product works just fine
Nothing to really dislike here. I have two pairs of these - one pair for me, another pair for a coworker. We each have a phone in the workshop and in the office. Each pair rings at the same time as desired. Loud and clear speaker. All we needed and a good price. I use freepbx by the way - a version of Asterisk.

nice job

Now have a pair of these running from one base station. The only downside is that they don't share a directory and neither can you download one.
