2020 Update Been taking these 3 years now. Unfortunately this has become a slippery slope. Pills alone don’t cut it. Some do improve. Others do not. I was diagnosed at 8 years old at NIH with this. Youngest person ever. I am now shy of 60. What did the most damage was when I stopped lifting weights for 4 years as I had no income caretaking my elderly parents. I had significant drop in bone density then. After losing the last parent, now employed, I started back at the gym taking 8 weeks, 3x/week treadmill Speed walking and weights to get back to 75% of my weight lifting routine plus these pills. From Nov to Feb this year I gained .2 in my dexa on back and legs bringing me back to the -2 category, but hips and wrists lost to -3.0. Ladies WEIGHTS is what is needed. I worked back up to 60 pounds on the back extension 3x a week and on that leg machine you pinch your knees together on and the reset the pin and expand your knees from each other. It has to be calcium/ vit D and magnesium + Weights for this to work. Now with Covid I can no longer go do treadmill or weights. For wrists my dr added doing 3lb dumb bells wrist flexes. Hips still working on finding how to bear weight there as treadmill does not seem to get the hip joint nor the leg machine. Ladies if you have never done weights please speak to a professional trainer and your endocrinologist. You can’t lift 60lbs out of the block. BTW I am just shy of 60 and 5’ tall and 130lbs heading back to 120. If I can do it as a desk sitter for a day job so can you. 2017 I bought these first at my doctor, an endocrinologist. I have extreme osteoporosis much younger than most women. I just finished the bottle from the dr and now ordering online for convenience. As someone diagnosed at age 8 with juvenile osteoporosis and now again in early menapause, I can feel my body is absorbing these differently then the hard rock ones that are sold over the counter in vitamin and drugstores. My doctor told me in order for a vitamin to be absorbable it needs to be in a powder or gel format. These are powder in capsules. The next Dexa scan will tell. My body appears to be less irritated by these and my nails coming in after a month also look better quality. Hopefully this is true if my bones. On the manufacturer website One woman states her dexa scan improved after a year of taking them, but again that is one comment. We will see.

These calcium supplements absorb well and are easy to swallow.

My chiropractor recommended this for stopping foot, leg and hand cramping, which I would get sometimes severely. It works for him and so I tried it and have been using it for about 7 years now. When I back off, the cramps return. They I re-start and they go away in a few days. Every time. Good for elder bones I'm sure, but this effect I can sense absolutely!

Have taken these easy-to-swallow capsules for decades. So far my bones are doing fine, so I'm not about to give them up now....

I have switched to Pure Encapsulations for their high quality. I shop the prices on their site and my doctor's office site and go for the lowest price but I will not deviate from this brand.
