I don't specifically have a M-05 but have numerous Tamiya cars (F201s, TA01-02 and others) and it fits them all.

That Feature is dependent on the ESC having the Low Voltage Cut Off. Not the Battery. These batteries ROCK for classic Tamiya or Kyosho etc. They fit perfectly.
