A must for "close working"
Purchased to replace an identical unit that recently "misplaced itself". It's a wonderful tool for augmenting my "weak" vision when performing "fine detail, etc." work. The headband size is easy to adjust and maintains its' adjustment, however I do have to periodically remove it to clean the perspiration from my brow (plastic "liners" will do that!). The headlamp is marvelous as it has "almost unlimited" positioning capabilities and the LEDs are very bright! The lenses give a nice combination of magnifications AND the visor works very well when wearing glasses (prescription or "readers"), so its' magnifications will augment whatever magnification your glasses provide.Yes, ** I DO RECOMMEND ** this item!

Multiple magnification options, no storage bag.
Nice fit, fully adjustable, comfortable to use. Has built in dual eye magnifier lens with a second flip up/down dual eye magnifier, plus a drop down eye loupe for right eye only. LED lamp centered above eyebrow is bright and is adjustable up & down. Wish it came with some sort of soft drawstring bag for storage, other than a plastic baggie. I like using it for close up work. Note- not for use with grinding or welding. Offers no flying debris protection. Safety glasses can be worn with this visor.

Works for me
I bought this over a free standing unit because my work bench is cluttered enough and I like the ability to change the magnification by flipping down an additional lens. The optical quality is good. It only gets 4 stars for two reasons: when using the round diopter I have it to hold very close to my face and the led light is blocked by the head band (an external light source solves that); the head piece does not stay up when flipped up, gradually slipping down. The headpiece is just a little too heavy for the side tightening knobs. I just take it off instead of flipping it up. Other than that I am happy with it and works quite well for me.

Very happy coin collector
I purchased this for sorting and examining coins. I've tried lighted magnifiers on stands and hand held loops, but they weren't ideal. This head magnifiers is perfect for both a casual look (separating coins by date or mint mark) and for a closer examination (I like hunting for error coins). All of the lenses are contained in the unit, so I don't have to swap things out as I'm working through a stack of change. The light is bright and the ability to adjust it means I can always get the right angle to view all of details on a coin. It's easy to adjust the headband's size, and I've worn it for hours without any discomfort - I hardly notice the weight and the slight pad around the forehead is soft enough to avoid irritation. In a word - perfect.

Works for quick stuff, but annoying for longer tasks
If I just need to use these for 5 minutes at a time they work fine. I do wear them with my glasses but the fit over the glasses is very tight. Larger glasses probably won't fit. The light is good, and one of the biggest benefits of this visor. I have to get my face really close to what I'm working on for any of the magnifying options to work, but they do work.My biggest complaint is that it's impossible to keep the visor up. The nut on the side slowly loosens and allows the visor to drop down, interrupting my work. No matter how tight I crank down on it, the visor always starts drooping. It's incredibly annoying. Since I have to be so close to an object to see anything through the visor, there's no option to just leave the visor down all the time.

It works for what I need it for.
I was more impressed with this than I thought I would be. Definitely helpful with seeing small details clearly.

Loved at first, but it broke after a year
This product was ideal for doing intricate repairs to antique typewriters or other detailed craft work. I used it for several hours a week for at least a year. Once the light stopped working, I couldn't figure out how to fix it. It wasn't a battery problem. It seemed to be the bulb itself. I would buy this product again --even knowing that it might not last more than a year. But I wish the lights themselves were more durable.
