Reebok Men's Royal BB4500 Hi2 High Top Sneakers

These Reebok BB4500 Hi2 high tops are a solid throwback-style sneaker, but they definitely feel more like a lifestyle shoe than anything performance-focused. First impression is good — the design has that classic high-top basketball look and they’re easy to wear with jeans or casual outfits. They look better in person than I expected, especially if you like retro styling. Comfort is decent for everyday use, but not amazing for all-day standing or heavy walking. The cushioning is fairly basic, so after a few hours you can start to feel the lack of support compared to more modern sneakers. Fit runs a bit narrow for me, especially in the toe box, and there’s a short break-in period before they start feeling more comfortable. Once broken in, they’re fine for casual wear, but not something I’d choose for long walks or sports. Build quality feels okay for the price — not premium, but not cheap either. The leather upper holds up well, and the outsole seems durable enough for regular street use. Overall, these are good for style and casual everyday wear, especially if you like the retro basketball look, but they’re not a comfort-heavy or performance shoe.

05/21/26 - Okay, so I'm writing a super early review on these as I have definitive first impressions that are important for general buyers recommendations, I pretty much just took them out of the box and have some immediate opinions. I plan to come back and update this review after some time to touch on durability. INITIAL THOUGHTS--- Width - I ordered the size 14 Extra Wide, the box is labeled as 14 XE, the labels on the the tongue of each shoe doesn't mention width at all, so I cannot confirm with absolute certainty that I received the correct "extra wide" width I ordered. I want to mention this specifically because these are narrower than I expected. Typically a standard width shoe is a D width, normal wide is *usually* a EE(2E) and most brands that market "extra wide" it's a 3E or even 4E. These might be a 14E, definitely not EE or higher. Barely above what I would consider a standard width shoe, barely wide enough not hurt in general. Will need to walk around more to see if I get blisters on the sides of my toes or not, but I would absolutely not consider these to be "extra wide" by any stretch of the imagination. Assuming these are comfortable enough for my use at work I might have to use a shoe stretcher to get a little extra width in the toe box area. Length - I would say the length is as advertised, I would strongly recommend people learn what the length of shoes they know fit well actually are in mm/cm or inches. Brand sizes vary so much it's almost never reliable, I wear anywhere between a 12.5 to a 15 depending on the brand, usually a 13.5 or 14 though. Comfort/Materials/Other Thoughts - My primary reason for buying these shoes was ankle support, I frequently strain or re-injure my right ankle at work. I work long shifts standing on steel grate flooring and I step up/down on raised platforms. I don't know if a shoe with this little cushioning will work well for me but the ankle support I was looking for is there and feels pretty nice. The shoes construction is reported as leather, how much of the material is real leather vs synthetic leather I don't know, overall it's fairly thin leather which is good for weight but possibly bad for durability, time will tell. Lastly if you're considering buying this shoe I would strongly recommend planning ahead and getting a replacement insole for immediate use. While there's nothing inherently wrong with the stock insole, it's the typical thin foam insole that 100% will flatten out and eventually provide zero cushion, it's also a glued in insole so once you wear them the glue will set and they will become much, much more difficult to remove. If you remove the insoles immediately they come out no problem, just do your future self a favor and change them out right away.

Great shoe for a growing teenage boy. He liked how comfortable they are and I like how durable they are.

have worn this style shoe for about40 years. good fit, feel, support/lifespan for a fair price. easier to buy online than locally.

I don't usually write reviews, this is not a professional opinion. I bought these for work shoes to replace a different brand I'd worn out. I appreciate the appearance, material quality, they're nonslip, they're warm, I think the soles are decent, and I haven't had much problems, except for my toes. The inside of the tip of the shoes curves in a way where there's too much room for my big toes and the side presses into my pinky toes, causing my toes to get squished together. When I first bought them and was breaking them in, I ended up getting blisters on the insides of my small toes. Taking steps with these shoes on was incredibly painful. My ankles have started hurting aswell. I tried buying some toe dividers which didn't work out too well. The laces don't go down enough to adjust the toe space. I've considered stuffing something in there while I'm not wearing them to stretch the toe space out a little, or maybe even trying to operate on the shoes, but I think I'm just going to go ahead and buy a different pair. I'm not sure if this problem is because I bought a half size too small, this could be entirely my fault. Just a word of warning to anyone planning on buying these. They're great shoes, but planning ahead goes far with these. I've only had them for a month, and my possible lack of attention to detail might have just set me out $70.

Purchases is a birthday gift for my son. He absolutely loves the retro style. They were super difficult to find anywhere else so I was so happy when I came across them here on Amazon. Great price. Durable shoes. Sizing is right on point. I highly recommend.
