Waterproof Dog Bed Cover Pet Blanket for Furniture Bed Couch Sofa Reversible

I am one of those dog people that let's their dog sleep in the bed on lay on the couch. She is my furry child, but this bed cover works great for protecting the bed and couch. Easy to wash and durable. I have bought several of these now because it allows me to put clean ones on while I wash the others. They are soft to the feel even though they are water resistant and help contain the hair of my dog as she sheds. They arr easy to lay in place and my dog knows she is only allowed on the spots covered by these blankets. They come in different colors but i went darker so I can easily see her shedding and know when it is time to change them. One the couch or chair they slide around a lot so I am constantly adjusting them, but they look good and are light and easy to place.

I’ve bought probably 6 or 7 of these over the last year, as my old dog has less and less control over her bladder. I keep a bunch on hand and I swap them out as needed. They are, after about a dozen washings, still completely waterproof. It seems impossible that they are waterproof, they don’t look plastic-y, they’re soft and not crunchy. But even after my pup wakes up from a deep sleep and empties her entire bladder on one of these, which are on my couch, I can tell you that they actually are completely waterproof. They’re also soft and comfortable to sit on; besides my real need to protect my couch from an aging dog, I rather like having an easily washable pad to protect from general life, it really helps that it’s nice looking, inoffensive, just kind of looks like a nice throw or something.

I bought this in September 2025 and it held up well for several months. Cleaning up my incontinent kitty’s small puddle is easier than changing soaked blanket and sheets! I didn’t do anything special re: washing, although I did line dry this mostly. But a month or two ago, the waterproofing protection failed and I began getting wet sheets again. Sigh. I think I’ll try Scotchgarding this before buying a new one: it’s a very nice lightweight coverlet: soft with nice stitching. The colors are gorgeous (the lighting doesn’t do it justice).

This waterproof pet blanket has been a great way to protect my furniture while still giving my dog a comfortable place to relax. The material is soft on both sides, so it feels more like a cozy throw blanket than a protective cover, and the reversible design is a nice bonus if you want to switch up the look. The waterproof layer does exactly what it's supposed to do by helping prevent moisture from soaking through to the couch or bed. It's especially helpful for wet paws after coming inside, drool, or the occasional accident. Despite having a waterproof barrier, the blanket isn't stiff or noisy, which makes it much more comfortable for everyday use. The size provides good coverage, and it stays in place better than I expected during normal use. It has also washed well without losing its softness or showing signs of the waterproof backing separating. Pet hair comes off fairly easily with a quick shake or during washing, making it simple to keep clean. Overall, this is a practical, well-made blanket that protects furniture without looking like a protective cover. If you have pets that love spending time on the couch or bed, this is an excellent investment for keeping your furniture clean while giving them a comfortable place to rest.

I always look for a product that is waterproof to cover an ottoman that my cat, for some reason, likes to pee on. Before I even put any waterproof cover on the ottoman, I put a tight-fitting waterproof cover on it first (because the current cover I was using was supposed to be waterproof, but the urine always went through it and directly onto AND into the ottoman). Then I would have to pull out my "Green Machine" to wash the ottoman, which is a lot of work trying to absorb the urine and get the smell out. Please excuse me mentioning another product but FYI "Angry Orange" is an amazing product and is an excellent addition for washing dog beds, covers or whatever needs a little extra help for smelling good and removing the urine smell. It's a concentrate (and smells like oranges), so you just put a few drops in with your liquid detergent. It's awesome! So, I bought this throw, put it on the ottoman and then waited for the cat to pee on it eventually. She didn't disappoint me. She peed on it and THIS COVER DID WHAT IT SAYS IT WILL DO. It is absolutely waterproof. Nothing went through it and the tight-fitting cover beneath was NOT wet and did NOT have any smell on it. I WAS THRILLED! FINALLY, SOMETHING THAT IS TRUE TO IT'S WORD!!!!! But here was my problem… because the urine didn't leak through, it sat on top of the cover so when my cat peed on it in one of the corners of the ottoman, it ran down the side of it and onto the floor. So, this cover won't be good for the ottoman, but I still truly recommend this product, because it does work! I had not taken into consideration that the urine would sit on top of the cover. Had the urine not run down the side and onto the floor, my dog would have jumped up on ottoman eventually to lay on it and look out the window and could have laid in the urine. Not everyone is dealing with the cat pee situation and will be using it for normal circumstances, so this really could work well for you. I love the material and how it looks so clean and neat. I will still be using this cover on a small couch that is designated "the dog's couch" which I keep covered at all times. I don't want "the wet spot" from him licking his paws, etc., or any hair and possible doggy smell going directly on the couch. This way, I can wash and dry the throw, put it back on the couch and everything stays smelling great. By the way, this washes and dry's really well and quickly. If you’re looking for a cover something so regular spills don’t soak into your couch, bed or whatever, this cover is PERFECT. If it’s to cover a piece of furniture that your cat likes to pee on, then it might not be for you because of the urine sitting on top of the throw. All in all, it’s a great product and I'm going to buy another one to have on hand. I apologize for the lengthy review, but this is the kind of information I look for when reading a review on an item I want to buy.

This waterproof blanket has been a lifesaver with my Golden Retrievers. Stands up to muddy paws & everyday wear. It protects my comforters from while still being comfortable to use. I push aside when the dogs are not in the bed bc it can become hot for me. Best of all, it washes beautifully and has held up exceptionally well over time. If you have dogs, especially large, active ones, this blanket is well worth it.

I have a large elderly Great Pyrenees dog, frequently incontinent in her senior years. I use these to cover her 50”x50” dog bed. These are not waterproof. I would say liquids (pee) seep through the pad slowly, so that actually causes another problem. As it slowly soaks into the pad, it also soaks into my dogs fur. So the bed is wet, she is wet, I help her get up and I get wet from her, because her fur is thick and absorbent like a cotton ball. I will take the blame for not thinking it through when description said reversible. If both sides are theoretically waterproof (which they are not), where would the liquid go? This is the third brand I have tried, I liked the other two better, but if I have to buy anymore, I am going to buy human bed pads, they absorb on one side and waterproof on the other - I have some of those I used with senior family, but they are not big enough to cover my dogs bed, and I never know where nh dogs rear end will be. So, I will order larger ones, meant for humans. They cost a bit more, but currently I have to double or triple layer these so pee doesn’t soak through to dog bed. These would be fine if you just want to keep dirt off furniture or bed. They do wash and dry easily. They are soft and reasonable quality fabric. It really depends on your needs on whether these will work for you.

I bought 3 of these in 2023 and 2 of the 3 are still going strong! One is now ripped where my dog dug into it with his claws repeatedly (apparently he wanted to dig a hole into my couch). The covers have worked really well to protect my couch from my dog and toddler. Even when he ripped a hole, it didn’t go all the way through both layers of the cover to my couch. And I have a lab for reference, so big boy and strong claws. They did a good job of keeping liquid off in the beginning but after multiple washes throughout the years, they aren’t water resistant at all. Overall, a good product and you will definitely get your moneys worth! I have the cream/beige color

So far very good dog blanket hair can be vacuumed/ shaken off very easy scratch proof so good even bought them for caravan, luv them.

I selected this one cause of the better reviews . It’s not waterproof meaning the liquid did not bead of the fabric instead it was absorbed . It was expensive considering it didn’t work , I had high hopes , hopefully I find what I’m looking for .

Lightweight, looks like the product images. Great idea. However, doesn't work well once you actually start washing the item - it no longer retains its waterproof feature.

Bought this because my cat's favourite place to vomit is on my bed in the middle of the night. It works amazing! The liquid stays on top and doesn't soak through which makes cleaning up her hairballs in the middle of the night a breeze! No more changing my bedding at 4am! It's still going strong after nearly 5 months and a few washes. Highly recommend!
