Awesome sound pity about the charging compatibility! Samsung z3 flip owners it just won't butty!

I work from home and wanted a desk top smart speaker and I am so glad I did my homework - this unit is superb and way beyond my expectations, the sound is super rich (I listen to audio books) with superb base levels. Music wise its very crisp with no distortion at all. I could not be happier.

I still bought this even though I read similar reviews as it was a good price. Basically to keep it short, I sounds brilliant playing electronic music (possibility classical too) with deep base and high notes but rock music with real drums, guitars etc not so well, actually there's a massive difference. Also as far as Amazon Echo goes there's loads of things wrong. My Ring doorbell can't find the device and the only solution I found was to create routines on the Alexa app and adding a chime with your own verbal response but with a bit of fiddling it'll work. What doesn't work is voice calling "Calling with Alexa is not supported on this device" is the response and another BIG niggle is that when casting via Spotify the device isn't listed. You have to open the Belkin app and wait a few minutes for it to show. It wouldn't be so bad if it was instant but the wait is a massive downfall. Maybe something that Belkin will address in a firmware update but I feel that if this isn't the big seller Belkin was hoping for then firmware support might not be too forthcoming. Apart from that if your music choice fits the right genre and it's situated where a wireless charger will be genuinely beneficial then this is very competent for the price. The bass is amazing with no vibration so works well at low volume though it is very loud for its size. I'm still glad I bought it for £110 but I wouldn't say it's worth more than £140/50.

Update Sept 2025After two weeks of emails and calls with Belkin support, they confirmed that these devices CANNOT be registered in 2025 as considered obsolete products! So your music will stop every random amount of time and a voice will ask you to register the device. cannot even be done manually.Original reviewGreat sound, but unable to register the device! Have tried like 10 times and gave up. Has an annoy VOICE PROMPT that randomly reminds you to register the device! And pauses the music. Was thinking on returning but for the price and sound quality and only use very rarely I decided to keep the device. If the register prompts become more often then I will bin the device.

This speaker is just fine for me it is a bit heavy on the bass but that's not a bad thing for some people ask my neighbour! Lol it easily fills my room with sound . For such a small speaker it's loud once connected to Alexa it's responsive the belkin app is pretty much useless for anything other than connection and there's no bass treble controls or eq settings which would be nice but got this on offer so happy with it.

Bought this for the kitchen connects easily to Alexa as well as works with bluetooth and charges your phone. Excellent sound from this really impressed

I really liked the idea of this item, having a smart speaker with a built in wireless charger. It looks and feels like a quality, and the sound quality is superb. However, I had to and returned both. The wireless charger it would not work with the speaker was playing, either streaming over Wi-Fi or airplay or Bluetooth from the phone. This was rather disappointing and a real setback. Also, when I asked Alexa to read my kindle books, it kept stopping every five minutes or so and having to be restarted.

Buon prodotto si vede che è fatto bene e soprattutto Alexa funziona bene ed in italiano. L’audio è buono e potente, il volume è abbastanza alto, solo che tende a favorire i bassi (veramente potenti), perciò per chi cerca un audio più bilanciato dovrebbe scegliere altro, chi invece ama i bassi può tranquillamente acquistarlo. La funzione di ricarica wireless degli smartphone è efficace, io ho un iPhone XS, però va considerato che è una ricarica un pò più lenta rispetto a quella col cavo e che lo smartphone tende a surriscaldarsi per effetto dell’induzione.

A bit of a pain to set up (you need download an app and pair to your phone and WiFi). Mids are muddy but highs are crisp and bass is MASSIVE. Great if you're into that. Wireless charging works as expected on s20 FE.
