Great stick vacuum-not as strong as a Dyson, but works great
This shark stick vacuum is exactly that- a lightweight stick vacuum. It’s not as powerful as the Dyson, but the shark last longer on a battery charge and there is a turbo boost so it can get stronger suction when needed. This cleans great, doesn’t scratch my hardwoods and hits my area rugs just fine. It’s easy to clean also. This can bend down so you do not have to bend to get under the bed/couch etc. but I never use it.

IZ483H - Excellent!
I had ordered the Shark IZ462H. The model that was sent looks exactly like this one ordered but was a 440 series (one that Amazon doesn't sell right now) and only had a 40-minute battery life before re-charging. I didn't notice right away. Amazon was very good with the return. I did have to pack it and take it to a UPS store, which took some time. Luckily, I still had the box. I then changed my purchase to the IZ483H with a battery life of 60 minutes PLUS an extra battery, total 120 minutes. I love it! It works so well, easy to use, easy to clear debris when needed and the suction is super strong. I have 2 cats and need to vacuum often. I've never had a cordless or stick type vacuum and cannot believe it took me so long to make this purchase! I now vacuum daily (no cord and very light weight). I have carpet, tile in the bathroom and kitchen. Works excellent on the carpet. Very good on the tile. Gave 5 stars even with the Amazon error (model clearly labeled on the box). Just make sure you receive what you order.

Good vacuum but …. Couple things
This is a good quality vacuum. I have used it on both carpet and wood floor and it does well cleaning both. The led lights actually show ya where the dirt is so that’s a nice touch. Seems to have decent pick up power and it’s light enough that moving it around while vacuuming is easy. Would have given five stars but for two things. When you detach the motor portion with the dust collector bin it become awkward to handle with any attachment on it. Tried to use it to vacuum my car and that wasn’t happening , just doesn’t work for much other than floors. Second thing of note is that the dust catch bin doesn’t operation requires ya to separate the motor portions from the vacuum head portion and then ya have to open it over the trash can to empty it. Dont get me wrong its a good vacuum but at almost 400$ I feel those items are noteworthy. Overall I do like it an it has performed quite well for the last several months since purchase.

Shark cleaning beast! Updated after 6 months, really happy!
I'm really happy with my purchase! I've only run the battery out once. Today. I hadn't vacuumed for a couple of weeks and I ran it on high almost the whole time, but I did get finished and had to empty the canister twice. Yeah, that dirty! My 2 daughters have Dysons. Until I bought a Shark Navigator, almost everything that blows or sucks in the house is a Dyson. I like my Shark better than theirs and it cost half as much. Theirs has no light shining on the floor ahead of you and believe me, you can't get stuff you can't see swept up! Also, with this you see clear tracks on the floor where the dust is now missing. Not just the dirt! It is amazing and I didn't want the light! The Dysons are quieter but they don't have a carpet cleaning setting. Turning on the carpet roller makes it noisier. I really like having the trigger to pull that makes the suction stronger. I use it about half the time...except today after having neglected cleaning for a couple of weeks. My dog sheds like crazy and it does the job pretty well. I do choose to vacuum the carpets every other week with the Navigator. It lifts the carpet nap better and gets up a bit more out of the nap. The stick does clean it well to the eye. Suction - my Shark picks up a lot of things on the floor that the Dysons can't; like leaves and dog kibble. It keeps pulling up all kinds of stuff until it just quits and then you know the battery has run out. Only twice since I bought it in November 2021. The front sponge roller popped out when I was using it today. Never before. It had picked up a corner of a rug. I cleaned out the area that holds it and put it right back in without having to look up how. Really nice! It's great! I am really happy! 6 months ago - Get one of these great cleaners while they are offering discounts! This quite surpassed my expectations for cleaning. The Vertex technology of having a solid, soft roller in front is amazing at cleaning, even the DUST off of my hard surfaces! I thought I wanted to be able to turn off the front headlights, but NO! I love seeing the absolutely dust-free/furless paths I am leaving on my floors. You need to do an internet search for reviews on Vertex! That's what sold me! I am the daddy of a canine shedding machine and I am disabled with walking and balance issues. I am so glad I'll be able to vacuum as often as I want to. I am the owner of a Shark Navigator that sucks rugs off the floor. This isn't that powerful but I am really satisfied! It got my rugs clean with one pass. And my hard floors are sparkling clean! I was a bit scared about the weight of this vacuum because of my disability. You need not be. This is well balanced and although it won't stand up on its own, it will steadily lean on table/counter high surfaces like the back of a chair. Vacuuming for me used to mean fighting a cord wrapping around my cane and my back hurting for days. No more and I felt safe & steady using this vacuum. Do NOT be scared away by the reviews about static shocks! I used it through a full charge 3 times yesterday without a hint of static shock. It held a charge for at least 40 minutes while having the carpet roller operating about half the time. I am pleased with how long the charge lasts and how quickly it recharged. The cleaning head goes easily under the furniture that I kept a dust mop for. That sucker's out of my way now! My model comes with 3 tools; a crevice tool, a multi-angle duster, and a 'pet' upholstery tool that is converts from a 4" brush to a flat fuzzy tool. The motor assembly is easy to detach to use these tools. I am pleased to have the HEPA filtration but it wasn't a feature I felt I needed. I used it on carpet setting a bunch but VERY seldom used the boost suction mode, which does need to be constantly held on with your finger. But you won't be needing it except for bad spot cleaning! This picked up multiple leaves that were on my floors from heavy holiday traffic. I was pleasantly surprised. My upright only gets about half of them. I have multiple Dyson products in my house and a Dyson vacuum in the basement that after 4 years broke and won't switch from hose to floor. When I got my Shark upright Navigator I was blown away with the increased suction that seemed twice the Dyson. So, when I shopped for a cordless stick vacuum I didn't heed my daughters' encouragement that I follow them back into Dyson world with this and went straight to Shark! I am really glad to have the 5 year warranty on the vacuum and 2 year on the REPLACABLE battery! Don't spend hundreds of dollars on a vacuum that doesn't have a removable/replaceable battery! I'll admit that after my Dyson experience I did buy the $35 extended warranty for peace of mind. I found two 'con' issues but they were definitely not deal breakers! If you do some heavy cleaning you will have to reach into the dust cup and remove the wad of debris that wraps around the metal mesh post. I noticed some hair wrapped around the back beater-bar and when I turned over the cleaning head to easily open the cover to the bar, I found a bunch of dog hair on the brush bars that catch any errant fur. It was easy to pull off with my fingers. I would never bother to do that regularly. I just noticed it when I was getting my daughter-in-law's really long hair unwrapped from the bar. That will only be a holiday experience. I'll update this in a few weeks, but I wanted to encourage you to take advantage of the discounts being offered. I am so very happy I got this vacuum now!

GREAT Vacuum
My wife absolutely loves this vacuum. It is extremely lightweight and can be stored in a small space. The battery is removable which is a big plus in case the battery every goes bad. It has different levels of suction depending on what you are needing. It does great on our rugs and hardwood floors. The brushes even dust the floors as it vacuums over them which is great when you live on a ranch. The battery lasts for our whole house (2900sq ft) before it needs charged. Unless you use the high power suction, then it won't make it though the whole house. The best part is being able to vacuum underneath furniture without bending on your head. The lights on the front are a big help as well! This vacuum is expensive, but so so worth it. Buy it!

I’m in love with a vacuum
Buy it no matter what, that’s all I can say. When we purchased corded vacuums I got the Shark Navigator and haven’t gone back to any other corded brand. In choosing cordless though I always thought it was more of a gimmick than a true tool so I tended to buy cheap knock offs to just get pet hair from the floors and possibly something heavier like dirt. Anything else and the two cordless vacuums were so underpowered that I never believed it would come close to really cleaning up much at all. When our third cheap brand cordless died in less than a year, I thought I’d upscale to something that might last over a year. I took nearly a month researching brand after brand to find one that was both affordable, reliable and powerful enough for us. Ultimately I bought this Shark Vertex for the following reasons: 1) At $365 it was half the price of a Dyson. It was still twice as much as what I’d paid for cheap no name brands but I needed something that would actually last. While not cheap, I could afford it. 2) The problem with no name brands is that if one piece is lost or broken they don’t tend to sell parts for them. With this Shark I made sure that there were replacement parts for anything I might break, and there are. Any repairs down the line should cost tens of dollars from now on, not another $100-150 to buy another cheap cordless to throw away a few months later. 3) This thing is powerful. Wow. None of the other cordless vacuums I had really did much on carpet. The brush might grab some of the detritus on the rugs but it was a 50-50 crap shoot. As for pet hair, that was even worse. This Vertex is pretty incredible. On carpet mode I’m able to get it on my deep plush rug and get pet hair and anything else right off. You know it’s working when you can’t see anything on the rug but after you go over it there’s all this captured filth sitting in the container! Not only does the rotating head work really well (and especially the anti hair tangling feature) but the suction is very good. Obviously not as good as the corded but definitely good enough. We are alternating cord-cordless every weekend so that we get extra deep cleaning every other week. Battery power is impressive. We’ve done the two large rugs downstairs, the hard wood floors, the carpeted stairs and four carpeted bedrooms all one one charge-just. But that it’s able to do all of that is really impressive. Additionally you can also purchase another battery for $80 if you think you might runout if power. The “crack” feature which allows the handle to look like a broken arm and get to almost a 90 degree angle so that you can get under furniture is a pretty nifty feature. I thought it was a silly gimmick but I use it quite a bit. One thing that bothers me though is that the little toggle that releases the straight arm into the angle is a small plastic piece that I’m pretty sure I’m going to accidentally break off one day-need to check if THAT part is replaceable. Couple other things I didn’t like: There’s no wall mount but that’s probably because it’s heavy at nearly 10 lbs. Took a couple uses to get used to the new weight but once you get used to it, it’s definitely worth the trade off of some extra weight for extra power. The other thing is that the roller head is not only larger because of the dual rollers, but it’s pretty noisy on the carpet mode. Again, I think it’s a fair trade off to get a louder heavier roller head for much more effective cleaning power. All in all this vacuum is a keeper. The vacuum is warrantied for defects for up to 5 years! For normAl wear and tear of parts that need to be replaced, those items are available on the Shark store and on Amazon.

Vacuum with a good idea, but one MAJOR flaw
I'll start off by saying I was really, REALLY looking forward to this vacuum. I watched multiple video reviews about this vacuum and the "DouClean" tech, and I thought it seemed simply amazing, genius even, and figured it would be the best vacuum in the world. However, I quickly found there was one MAJOR flaw with this vacuum that completely ruins the whole thing: static shock. The static electricity buildup in the vacuum is immensely amplified due to the soft roller in the DouClean tech and there is no proper dispersion of this static electricity, leaving your hand to get shocked every few seconds when using it. The shocks seem to get stronger and stronger as well and by the 4th or 5th time this happened to me in a row, after just a few minutes of vacuuming, I was genuinely scared to use it any longer. My girlfriend wouldn't even touch the thing after getting shocked just once. So I stopped for a while, tried to charge it hoping that would ground it or something and get rid of the problem, but after multiple tries I just could not get the thing to stop shocking me. There is a tiny metal plate in the handle as well which is supposed to help with the static dispersion by keeping you grounded, but the thing is a complete joke. The plate is so tiny that 2 fingers will barely even fit on it at the same time and it is so flush with the handle that you have to hold it with a strong grip just to keep your fingers on it, making it almost stressful to vacuum knowing that as soon as you lift a finger you'll get shocked. Then even when your fingers are on the plate firmly, it will still shock you from time to time! If the plate was like three times as long, twice as wide, and protruded from the handle like a fourth of an inch or so, it might not have been completely useless. I see this flaw as a MAJOR oversight, which could even end up causing a health problem for someone. The shocks hurt after just a few times, and they make using the vacuum incredibly uncomfortable and stressful. Like I said, I was really looking forward to this vacuum, and the DouClean tech and hair wrap removal fins did really seem to work wonderfully, but I just don't want to be in fear of getting shocked constantly while using this. I was incredibly disappointed and sad this had such a major flaw. If they ever make a new model or a change that fixes this issue, I would definitely try it again. But until then, I cannot recommend this vacuum to anyone.

Is It Wrong to Love A Vacuum?
I bought this bad boy a couple of months ago, and have been waiting to write the review until I've used it a while. Over the years I've used a lot of vaccums. I've always had large dogs, hate dog hair, and vacuum a few times a week - so always in pursuit of the best vacuum that's easy to use. Well, I've found it! Shark is my fave brand anyway - I own 2 of the large numbers for deep cleaning (1 upstairs, 1 downstairs). And I've had one of the early cordless models for easy pick ups & dog hair. NOW, I only need 1 - my new cordless Shark. It folds down and stores more easily than any other I've owned. It is lightweight, and the swivel head w/light is highly maneuverable in and around furniture legs, and even under furniture. It picks up anything in its path and moves easily between hardwood, tile and carpet. The battery pack is easy to set on a shelf, keep plugged in, and reattach when needed. I like this much better than the large cradle style that sat on the floor for recharging. I see some folks have mentioned noisiness - well, it's less noisy than any vac I've ever owned but you do know the vac is running (not much diff than a heavy duty hair dryer). My main living area is about 1600 SF. I can deep clean all the floors (carpet, hardwood, tile) quite well with a single battery charge, and I vacuum several x each week due to the above mentioned dogs. The whole house is 2500 SF and I can hit all the main areas on a single charge. The settings are easy to shift, and I like the booster setting for extra suction when needed. It performs very well on carpet. And attachments go on and off easily for getting into the crevices. I've not even bothered to used my big Sharks since I purchased this cordless. The top detaches easily for a hand held vac, which I've used in my car and it works quite well.I got the upgraded model (the blue/gray one) because I wanted more attachments. Not sure it was worth it, but it was only a few dollars more, so, meh. I know a lot of ppl like their Dysons and other upper priced brands. But I can't imagine they perform any better, and the Shark is reasonably priced. A truly great product - thanks, Shark!!

This is almost the best vacuum...
Assuming you can pick this vacuum up on sale for <$400, I consider it the best in its class in terms of overall usefulness and value. Pros: - light weight - extremely maneuverable( especially for under beds, desks, etc.) - makes easy work of small to medium sized spaces - enables great cleaning at night due to the built in lights - the duo clean brush heads make cleaning hardwood, tile, laminate and very low carpets a breeze - moderate to good clean time when ran on low power setting - multiple cleaning head attachments make getting into any groove or awkward space easy - its small enough and compact enough to be stored anywhere you need it due to its folding capability - the detachable battery allows for charging to be done anywhere and alleviates the need to lug the main body to an outlet - the rollers can be accessed very easily if maintenance is needed Cons: - overpriced and under powered if bought for too much and not on sale - struggles with longer carpets and requires far too much power to be effective - battery life is good, but gets used up very quickly when on the higher setting or when frequently using the 'turbo' boost - the collection canister could be larger - the battery takes a very long time to recharge when fully depleted - it's kind of loud 😅

Shark IZ462H cordless stick vacuum
The Shark cordless vacuum I purchased does a great job, good suction and battery life. The only problem I had I didn't realise it came from US and then had to get to JB HiFi to get an adapter for it obviously I didn't read the finer print.

Poor Cleaning Abilities: Can't Be Recommended
Buying this vacuum cleaner, I had big expectations as my previous experience with Shark vacuum cleaners has been mostly positive. I had two corded Shark vacuum cleaners, and they demonstrated good cleaning abilities, reliability and comfort in use. Shark IZ462H Vertex, undoubtedly, has its positives too. Yet, I will not describe them here. The reason is simple: this vacuum cleaner has insufficient cleaning abilities. Its suction and ability to pick up dust and debris is poor. I had an opportunity to compare its cleaning abilities with those of cordless Tineco S12. They appeared to be noticeably worse. I also compared Shark IZ462H Vertex cleaning abilities with those of corded Shark NZ801ANZ. They appeared to be hugely worse. Therefore, I decided to return Shark IZ462H to the seller. I cannot recommend to buy this vacuum cleaner.

La mejor aspiradora en relación al costo-beneficio
Espectacular aspiradora. La pila dura +60minutos, no es tan ruidosa y el poder es suficiente para levantar todo el polvo en una sola pasada. Igual de eficiente que una Dyson, y por la mitad de precio!!
