I am loving this absorbent chenille rug at my front door. Purchased in a good, large size to catch the mud and yuck on my dog's feet as they go inside and out during a particularly muddy, rainy, and snowy season, I am so impressed at the high quality of this rug. After seeing some reviews saying how even your pets will appreciate this rug, I must say that my dogs certainly do enjoy laying on the rug and watching outside through the door while the sun comes in. As you can see by the picture, even my little piggy, Joe-Joe, has approved and endorsed this rug. It really does catch all kinds of mud and dirt which can be shaken free between washes. I love the color to match my floors. It does not seem to be too heavy for adding to a washer cycle and is still a great weight and size to handle plenty of foot, paw, and hoof traffic.

I'm using these rugs on my covered patio--I have two of them outside the door where my dogs go in and out constantly. The puppy absolutely refuses to hold still for paw cleaning when her feet get dirty--she thinks it's a game and catching her is exhausting and time-consuming. I laid these rugs out on the patio so that the dogs have to run across them to enter the house. They've done a good job cutting down on the muddy paw prints--they haven't totally eliminated the problem but I didn't expect them to. They seem to be holding up pretty well in the semi-outdoor setting. I'm happy with them.

Very pretty rug. I used it in the bathroom. When I stand on it in bare feet, I can feel the prickly backing and it's NOT comfortable. I would buy it again but not to put where people would be walking bare foot.

Only had it a few weeks so really, the winter season will tell. But my wife thought I bought an entryway rug because it was so handsome and long-fiber carpetlike she could not believe the item information I showed her after that reaction. So. We have a deck with a hot tub, a walkout basement and a foyer leading to the shower. I kick off my sandals and shorts, dry my feet in plush carpet and walk through the foyer without leaving moisture, dirt, leaves, etc. It needs a season (and maybe another rug upstairs?) to fully evaluate but so far it's great - better than my high expectations.

When I first opened the box I thought, oh yes it's going back. But then I gave it a try. This is a very well made rug, extremely absorbant, comfortable, and stays in place. It's weight is heavy probably due to the shag and well made backing. I have two larger dogs that I use it for. They walk in and stand for a minute and their feet are clean enough to walk through the house. They seem to like it too.I see reviews of people saying the backing falls apart. I don't see that happening. Mayne those people don't know how to wash on gently and hang to air dry.I'm going to buy another one for the back door.I never liked a shag looking rug before but this works so well im over that. Lol

I have tried many so called absorbent/no leak rugs that claim will work for messy drinking dogs. They all DO NOT WORK or FALL APART after the first washing. With these, so far so good. 10 times more absorbent than those others, and these actually dry!! If you have the "pet" ones, you know they constantly stay wet, get a horrid smell that wont come out & start cracking after the 1st wash. Not these. These have been excellent so far.

Lots to love about this rug..the color was perfect and exactly how the ad read. The texture is soft and soothing to the feet. Easy to launder and no fading. I use it as an entryway rug so it gets a lot of traffic..the size is perfect as well.

I like the rug. My dogs come in the house with muddy winter paws, so I put it in front of my dog door. The size is perfect, unlike many mud rugs, I can throw it in the washing machine. It has stayed in place but I do have it on top of another larger mat. I know that it is working well because it gets very muddy very fast. All that mud is left on the rug and does not get in the house. For this purpose, having 2 to change out would be good. My only hesitation is that even if you consider that it includes shipping; it seems a bit overpriced.

Firstly I can’t fault this mat in any way and would recommend it...but in my opinion (and personal choice) it would suit being a bath or shower mat over a door mat. It’s lovely and soft and not enough weight in it to stay put, and does look out of place as a door mat (in my opinion). We will use it in the conservatory with less traffic which will be better suited, but I do love it. Quick delivery too.
