🐾 Unleash the Adventure with Stability!
The DoggyRide Original or Novel Kickstand features a side foot release bar that enhances trailer stability for dogs over 50 pounds, ensuring a safe and accessible experience. When not in use, it conveniently tucks away under the trailer, making it a practical choice for pet owners on the go.

I've had my buggy for 9 months and find it great for our needs. My Australian Sheppard was a bit shy at first but now sits facing forward and enjoys the ride to our dog park most days. The buggy is easy to collapse and reassemble when we want to take it in the sedan and ride the trails. I also find the kick stand a good accessory to have and easy to attach.

doggyride kickstand- don't waste your money
I bought this kickstand because my bike falls over to the left when my dog is in the doggyride. this kickstand is advertised as preventing the bike from fallling over when a heavier dog enters the trailer. my dog is 75lbs. the kickstand lifts the bike's back tire completely off the ground and the bike falls to the right when my dog enters the trailer. the tires of the doogyride trailer are also completely off the ground when the kickstand is down and it is attached to the bike. This kickstand DOES NOT prevent the bike from falling over. I have found that a simple 2 inch block of wood placed under the arm of the towbar fixes the problem without the kickstand. I suggest you skip the kickstand and bring a 2 in block of wood on your ride and place it under the curved arm of the tow bar when you need to stop. This will keep your bike upright without any problems. Save your money.

Poorly Made
This kickstand was a complete nightmare to install. Considering the trailer itself is of really nice quality, I was surprised this thing is made so poorly. This is mostly because a lot of the holes don't line up correctly so I spent over an hour hammering, drilling, and swearing at this stupid thing. Plus, this was NOT included with trailer so you had to pay extra! I read another review that said you don't really need it. But I have to agree with the manufacturer who recommends getting this if your dog is over 40 lbs. My dog is 70 lbs and without the kickstand, my bike would always tip over as he gets into the trailer. While this is a necessity for bigger dogs and serves its purpose, I'm giving it two stars because: 1) it was not included with the trailer when really should be, 2) it was a huge pain to install, and 3) it wasted an hour of my life.

I love it
I hesitated to purchase this based on the one reviewer who suggested just to get some blocks. But I did buy this and was never sorry. It is a quality product and strong. Easy to install and easy to use. I use it all the time and it is much better than carrying a block of wood around. I would recommend this product.

Doesn't fit
The item doesn't seem to fit to our bike trailer. The screws are too big. As such, it is sitting in our storeroom collect dust. As both trailer and stand comes from Novel. I would expect it to fit easy. Sadly it is not to be. =(

Easy
Easy to set up and use. Definitely need it for a larger dog. Directions were a little confusing when it tells you to use the other brake - not sure where the other brake is.
