The tape is designed to stick only to itself and provides mechanical protection to cables, connections, and wire splices insulated with rubber electrical tape. Worked great, looks great - like original
Used this to add wires for an electric fuel pump to the trunk wiring harness of a 1968 Olds. Worked great, looks great - like original, just newer and cleaner. FWIW - this stuff is suppose to only stick to itself. Has mild adhesive on both sides.

Buyer Beware
Great product but description is way off. Expensive for one roll. Otherwise does what it is designed to do. But at that price for one roll, very disappointed.

Good tape for wires , mash it together and it sticks
It’s just like the factory tape used on mopar. Wrap it around and it sticks to itself.

This tape is great for automotive wiring harnesses. It appears far closer to OEM than typical vinyl electrical tape.

Ever had a hammer slip out of your sweaty hand?
This probably isn't what this tape was designed for but I use it on all my hammers, It prevents slipping when your hand is sweaty and tired. I simply love this tape! With its slightly tacky grip that's sweat proof, its superior grip allows for less fatigue as well. Unlike black tape, it doesn't come undone and leave sticky residue all over everything. With my sweaty & greasy hands on a shinny & smooth wooden handle, I've not only had a few sail across the work area, but have managed to smash my other hand as the hammer slid slightly causing my aim to be somewhat less accurate and besides, your coworkers will thank you too!

Melted, damaged, useless
Got 2 long rolls of this for building wire harnesses, both were damaged beyond use with the adhesive bleeding through to the outer layer (small roll in the photo is new from Home Depot and in perfect condition for comparison) so I don't recommended buying these ones as they apparently sit in a hot truck or warehouse and get ruined.

Este tipo de cinta es una de las cosas principales que se debe utilizar en toda instalación eléctrica automotriz, ya que su construcción a base de fibras, tiene un mayor efecto aislante de calor que las cintas tradicionales. La única razón por la que le coloco 4 estrellas es porque el pegamento de la cinta es muy débil, y debes reforzarlo con cinta tradicional para que tenga mejor fijación

Wanted tape to use on a vintage stick. This is the same tape I used when I was a kid.

The main title of this product is misleading.
I thought I was getting a great deal on this product but, failed to read the fine print. I really got shafted on this one. Another lesson learned when ordering online.
