SpeckProducts Presidio2 Grip iPhone 12 Pro Max Case, Black/Black/White

I want to give you all a realistic review of this case, despite all the negative reviews out there. I have been a long time user of Speck Presidio cases, so I know exactly what everything everyone is saying about the “lack of grip” in these new Presidio 2 models. I was hesitant to buy this case due to what everyone had said, but after finally doing so, I would tell everyone who is on the fence, not to worry and buy it. I bought the new Presidio 2 Pro and Grip models for my new iPhone 12 Pro Max, but this review will focus mainly on the Grip model.GripYes, Speck did eliminate the use of rubber for the protruding ridges which made the phone super grippy, and instead have the ridges molded into the case...but despite this change, these new cases have that soft matte texture over the whole case (including the ridges) as the Presidio Pro cases (think of a grippier version of the Apple silicone cases). After using both, personally I like the new molded ridges better. Yes, it is not as “super grippy” as the rubber was, but it’s also a hell of a lot easier to get in and out of your pocket than the rubber one was. Also these ridges won’t peel off like the rubber ones used too (everyone had that issue...you’re lying if you say you didn’t, or you didn’t use the case long enough).ButtonsSpeck updated the side buttons on both Presidio 2 models and it is a fantastic upgrade. The buttons feel separate from the case and are super easy to press compared to the old model which just had molded rubber. The new buttons are a smooth plastic that is different from the texture of the rest of the case which is nice. Overall, great improvement.ProtectionFrom what other reviewers have said...it does appear Speck may have changed the protective rubber on the inside of the case, but to be completely honest, unless someone pointed it, 99% of people couldn’t tell the difference. I only examined it based on what other reviewers had said, otherwise it looks the same to me. The case feels just as protective as all my other Speck cases from the past.ConclusionIt appears to me that Speck reviewed all the user feedback from the first version of these cases and created an updated version fixing any complaints or issues. These new Presidio 2 cases (specifically the Grip case) is not “cheaped out” despite what other reviews have said, in fact it feels more luxury than the old one (the new soft matte exterior texture feels nicer than just hard plastic with rubber edges). Yes, the new case is not as “grippy” as the old one, but to me, the upgrades supersede slightly better grip. I don’t have to yank the phone out of my pocket pulling half my pocket out with it and I don’t have to be annoyed seeing 4 or 5 rubber ridges ripped off the sides and back of the phone which negates the point of the “grip” anymore.Since buying my iPhone 12 Pro Max, I’ve tried literally dozens of cases on Amazon and these Speck Presidio ones are by far the best (yes, even the Grip one). My only gripe is that I wish they came in more common colors...it’s goes from like black, navy blue, or grey (all about the same boring basic options) to crazy electric neon yellow, there’s no “something in the middle”.

Great grip. Silicone covers are OK but they need to stop using that material for phone protection. This cover is much sturdier with a great feel in the hand. It’s nice that the sides of the cover are just as sturdy as the ends. I had an older speck cover and the buttons were hard to push. This one is much better as adjusting volume etc. is much easier. In think you’ll like it!

I only buy Speck cases and this lives up to the brand.

I just received this case today, and I have to say I am completely satisfied. This is probably one of the best case you will fine for the price. The amount of protection that you get around the edges of the phone and camera are superb.

I've been use specking case since my iPhone 6S. Speck is doing fantastic job to protect the phone, this new version case in general is good, have a really nice grip. The only thing i think they can do better is use back the old plastic material, because this new plastic is lighter but caught finger print very easily.Overall i recommend this case especially you have a big phone, you definitely need that "GRIP".

I purchased other cases for my iPhone 12 Pro Max only to make my phone look bulky and hard to put case on. This case fits perfect

I’ve tried just about every iPhone case out there in my search for the perfect one. I came across Speck a few years back and have only been using them ever since. This is my 2nd Speck case for this phone, the last one lasted a little over 2 years before the corners began to slightly crack. I drop my phone daily, and have never had a crack. I don’t know how they provide so much impact protection in such a thin case, but they do it well. Would highly recommend this option

Fit is spot on, no loose or uneven sides. The raised lip is the same thickness all around (looking at you U@G). Sure it's not the "grippiest" but as long as your hand is not super dry, you will grip it just fine. I like the minimal branding on the back as well. The buttons are nice and clicky. Cutouts line up perfectly.This is a great everyday case! It's not too heavy or bulky and will protect your phone with your day-to-day activities.

My phone fall by my mistake from 3d floor window, and nothing happened. Not even scratch

No es tan alta protección como la Presidio Sport, pero al parecer ese modelo llegó hasta el iPhone 11, pero este también resulta bueno, tienes buen agarre, y protege de caídas no muy altas (ese es mi sentir)

Après plusieurs mois d’utilisation je suis un peu déçue . Si la protection est efficace, le joli revêtement noir mat est parti par endroit et laisse apparaître une base plastique brillante qui n’a plus du tout le grip qui permet une bonne tenue en main.Je ne sais pas si le fabricant a prévu ce cas de figure dans sa garantie…Je décide du coup de le contacter. Vous tiens au courant.Bonjour, je suis très déçue par la réponse apportée par le fabricant.Il refuse sa garantie au prétexte que le vendeur Nextshoop n’est pas habilité pour vendre ses produits!!!Ce vendeur Nextshoop (qui n’apparaît plus sur Amazon d’ailleurs) refuse de garantir ce produit et me propose une simple remise sur un futur achat…)☹️Le produit acheté est très décevant car les commentaires semblaient élogieux. Je suis retournée lire des commentaires plus récents, j’ai pu lire que je ne suis pas la seule à me plaindre….l’article acheté n’est pas aussi résistant que les produits plus anciens de la gamme. Dommage!
